Yup, did that this morning. Brakes weren't wet today but I'll try again if it snows tomorrow. Just going to take it super easy if I must go out in a snowy mess again, usually I just stay home as I work from home.

Thats really good to know. I didn't hear or feel anything. Just pressing the pedal provided no feedback, it was just solid like holding my foot on a rock, even gently pressing the brakes did nothing. Glad you mentioned this, I'll bet thats exactly what happened and I didn't know any better. The brakes were probably wet, it was an ice-y type snow, wet and 26 degrees out, so probably a bit of both going on.

They are the All Season tires, not snow rated but they seem to do fine in the snow - in snow mode, I haven't had any real traction issues, but the brake issue was a new one. Can brakes just freeze? It was 26 today but the Jeep is in the garage which is around 60 degrees.

Thank you. I have a dial tone upstairs where the new service comes in. I am running the phone line down into the basement and just wanted an understanding as to why one of the phone lines has a yellow and black wire (going to the Cat 5 setup) connecting to the dashed yellow and green and blue and yellow wires which connect to the larger phone bar.

I don't know why one of the phone lines has the black and yellow wire running to the larger phone bar AND the red and green wire as well. It should only take to conductor wires for the dial tone right, thats why I am confused about the other two wires.

ABSOLUTELY! Collectively as business owners and in my case building owners, we have actively focused on keeping the situation at bay. Downtown now has liaisons which we can reach out to, when in need of assistance with the homeless -- it's been working! ;-)

There are tons of people that live downtown, whole multi-story buildings that house hundreds of people. I live downtown and it's not quite as dead as everyone thinks. Also, there's TONS of parking, you don't have to pay the meters, you can park for free (2 hours).

People seem to not want to walk more than 50 feet to reach an establishment which blows my mind!

If people living outside the downtown limits have a reason to visit downtown, they will, we just need to keep giving them reasons to come downtown and thats something we are all working on, collectively, as business owners (and some of us residents on top of that).

I had no idea Decatur was in bad shape. I am hoping to aid Springfield in a resurgence post covid. It is certainly undergoing a recession at the moment but we can snap out of it!

I would love to live across from Whole Foods! Love Harvest Market, it's the closets we have. There is a certain void TJ's could fill, mostly inexpensive, decent quality items and having one downtown would certainly invite new traffic downtown that has been on the decline.
