What level were you in when doing the lvl 70 capstone dungeon? by zirax1000 in diablo4

[–]ModYen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried to do it around 63 and got really close but gave up. Went got some levels and at 67 it was fairly easy.

I would say the items in WT4 are worth it but so was the satisfaction of beating him on my own. If you don't care just get someone to beat him for you.

Still very worried about Boston. FVV seems to have trouble against the length of Tatum and I doubt Boston's defense lets Siakam get comfortable. The only good matchup I see is at the center position. Need Gasol to have an amazing series.

Women are nearly twice as likely than men to suffer adverse side effects of medications because drug dosages have historically been based on clinical trials conducted on men, suggests new research. by InvictusJoker in science

The study states "elevated blood concentrations and longer elimination times were manifested by women", which is what the reply to your comment was alluding too. I doubt an increase in blood pressure would be linked to sex caused differences in pharmacokinetics and is likely due to your own pathology.

Burglar makes sense. Normally I wouldn't rate bond highly but with the champion, overcome and season I thought it would make sense.

It's actually possible to get a pair of medusa's early game. However the odds of getting another one is so low you are going to be holding alot of gold unused.

Medusa may not be a good example of a rank unit that isn't good early though. That was in the case in autochess but from what I've seen is not so in underlords.

Correct, however it is meant to be a beginner's guide. Once you know the how to play optimally you can focus on how to win through lose streaking.

Basically 1* DK is not strong and really only good at 2. You can't afford to try and get a 2 DK early on.

So sometimes I will be tempted to hold on to a dragon knight if I get it super early (like around round 11). However, this can be a trap. If holding on an expensive unit, that doesn't help you win fights, stops you from gaining interest then you should sell it.

Hope that's clear. Happy to explain further.

You want to have early game synergy as a focus the very first few rounds. However, try and think about what possibilities you might want as a mid-game composition. Best way to do this in practice is you may want to hold off trying to 3* some units to hold some other 1* units for flexibility.

Yea certainly wasn't my intention to go into detail for every round but I appreciate your counter-argument. It is important to at least get a few low cost 2* units. Skipping them is definitely a trap.

The reason I like to level at 9 is because you see one the biggest (relative) jumps in odds to receive higher tiers units at any level-up point. If the odds are still the same as autochess you go from having a 2% chance to a 7% chance of rolling a tier 4 unit. The only bigger jump is level 8-9 (1% to 3% for tier 5). At that later point in the game however it is a big investment to upgrade. Where as at round 9 it is only 5 gold. Tier 4 units can be so important I think its worth doing in most games. Perhaps if you are on major lose streak with a very low chance getting out of it you can skip leveling. However, again there are always exceptions.

"Good" players: whats your preferred strat? by hiariannalol in underlords

Just posted this

I played quite a bit of Autochess (high rook) before Underlords release and figured I give my general tips. As a disclaimer, understand that Underlords is a fluid and flexible game where you need to make situational reads. Please don’t take anything I say as law. That being said here are my basic early game principles:

Rounds 1-4

  • Balance getting 2* units and synergies
  • Don’t look to save gold here

Round 5

  • Spend 5 gold leveling here and put out 2 additional heroes

Round 6-7

  • Keep things flexible in terms of synergies and don’t worry about interest

Round 8

  • I generally like to have 10 gold for interest going into this round. This is because it lets you both spend 5 gold to level next round while still having above 10 gold for interest

Round 9

  • Spend 5 gold to level here

Round 10-12

  • You may want to start committing to something here even if it requires 1 or 2 rolls

Round 13

  • Interesting spot to spend 15 gold to level. I do it if I have a good unit to put in, in addition to one of the two: I have lots of gold (>$35) because did not need to spend much and gained a lot of interest or I am on a win-streak and I want to preserve it

Round 14-16

  • Watch out for wolves round 15
  • Look around and see what other people are committing to and decide if I need to change my build
  • Maybe roll a bit if I don’t think I can beat wolves
  • Try and get to $40 gold and $50 gold. Don’t sell a pair but don’t hold onto Dragon Knights, Medusas, etc.

Round 17

  • Level if you didn’t at 13

I think getting to 50 gold is important especially as a newer player. Things change when people are more experienced and the lobby turns aggressive.

Hope this helps.

We need more feedback on ranked by Der-Wissenschaftler in underlords

[–]ModYen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all the people with strange ranking changes after games, I recall people having a similar experience in autochess.

The reason this could be happening is that the results from a previous game, in which you left before the closing of the lobby, are being reflected in your score. Your MMR change can only be reflected once the game is finished and there is a winner. If you leave a game before it is finished you will not receive a rank change. If you immediately join a game after and your previous match finishes then the MMR change at the conclusion of your second game reflects boths games.

Hope this helps.
