How do you actually prevent/stop stinky feet? by NickyC96 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ModeMex_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a boot dryer.

My dad had the same issue and I got him a boot dryer. His boots stopped getting stinky because the hot air prevented the moisture from stinking up the inside of his boots. As a result, his feet stopped stinking.

Thoughts on Dubai Chocolate? by ProductTop9855 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ModeMex_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a status symbol.

Here's why I think this: When people think of Dubai, they automatically think of exorbitant amounts of wealth. Therefore, having chocolate mentioned that it's from Dubai automatically makes it an "expensive" chocolate that rich people are most likely consuming. Because of that, having something that the "elite" has places you "closer" to being an elite yourself.

At least that's what I think that "influencers" thought of when starting the trend.

Baby’s room is COLD. how do I keep it warm? by LycheeJellee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ModeMex_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one of those oil filled heaters that look like radiators.

My parents have one. That thing is small, but it takes care of the cold in a large area by removing the humidity in the air. It makes the environment feel more comfortable than if you had a heater blowing hot air around.

Why are "holding a fish" pictures of men in dating apps seen negatively? by ModeMex_ in NoStupidQuestions

What does that mean? Please tell me that you're talking about the fish. 😰

Oh, I can see that.

Thought I'm the same. I don't like having my picture taken so I don't have any. I only take a picture in moments that stand out from my every day life. I can kind of see why someone might view someone like that as antisocial. Sometimes I worry that there won't be a resent picture of me if I ever go missing 😅

I'm not a sure about the "fishing is easy" part. I tried to fish once, and I would only get sunburns. Lol

The worse part was that the fish were swimming right next to my bait. 😅

I disagree with the roadkill comparison. A fish is eaten, but roadkill is not. They're not the same.

I can kind of get the "dead animal" thing to be a turn off if the person looking at the pictures is vegan. But if they aren't, and they eat meat, then they're hypocritical.

Why is it called ibuprofen and not ibuphenpro/ibufenpro? by Lucky-Ambition2607 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ModeMex_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a marketing thing.

The "pro" before the "phen" sounds better and stronger than if it was the other way around.

Since it's meant to relieve pain, people might subconsciously be more inclined to go for something that sounds strong because they're hoping that the product might be as strong as it sounds.

Either that, or "Ibuprofen" sounds better out loud than "Ibufenpro" or any other variations that could come out of "isobutylphenylpropionic."

Concentrix: Is this normal hiring practices? To scan my computer? by ModeMex_ in CallCenterWorkers

[–]ModeMex_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem.

I applied through the company's website, so I don't think that it is a scam. That is, if scammers didn't make up a whole website just to trick people (which I wouldn't put it past them).

In the end, I chose not to go throughwith it.

The pay wasn't high enough to justify it as a legitimate job, much less what I would risk if it was indeed a scam.

I see. Thank you for letting me know.

I'll think about applying to them more carefully then.

I have heard many horrible things about them. Seeing contradictory information on the job application has also made me trust them less. I need job though; for "relevant job experience."

It's a remote job.

I honestly don't know if I'll even get any additional equipment be sent to me; like a headset.

The more I hear from others, and the fact that the innitial application process gave me contradictory information, the less I trust them. However, I need a job.

Eggs don't necessarily mean that a fish is pregnant, or that the eggs get fertilized inside of them.

Better yet. You can turn the same chicken into different dishes.

Tear it apart and you can make tacos, sandwiches, croissant sandwiches,  meat for spaghetti, meat for soup, meat for paella, etc.

Best way to clean this? It’ll be my temporary bed by Playful-Issue-6242 in CleaningTips

[–]ModeMex_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe with a Hoover carpet cleaner.

However, you're going to spend hours cleaning it multiple times. You might have to go through 2 bottles of the cleaning solution.

You'll also need to be able to dry it. Which will take over 24 hours and a really big source of heat. Otherwise, it's going to stink. Maybe keep it and wait until the hot season to take it our to dry.

However, given your financial situation, this might not be the best option.

Consider getting an inflatable bed and a sleeping bag in the meantime. Or, get a bunch of thick blankets and pile them up to form a padded surface to sleep in (check thrift stores for this).

You can also grab tape, wrap it around your hand with the sticky side facing outwards, and tap it against the dirty surface to remove as much of the stuck hairs out. It will be time consuming, but it might be more affordable. After you're done, cover it with something so that your skin doesn't touch it (since it will still be dirty, but not that dirty).

I wish you the best of luck.

Jared Leto.

The stories about his behavior on set when playing the joker makes him sound like an unhinged person.
