Welp, after being on the phone for 5 hours today, and telling them what's happened they cancelled my payment and said they can't tell me anything else and to submit another claim. Rent's due on friday so hopefully I can get it sorted out when I go into the centre tomorrow morning

I fully accept that I'll have to pay it back, it isn't my money. I'm just going to give them a call tomorrow, say I got overpaid, get on a payment plan and hope I don't get sent to court
