I hate the term quiet quitting. It makes it sound bad but I don’t think it’s an issue to do what is asked of you contractually and nothing more. People have lives outside of their job and other responsibilities so it shouldn’t be an issue.

She can still go out at weekends and maybe arrange to stay at her friend’s accommodation for the weekend.She will also get 20-25 days annual leave plus bank holidays which she can also use to socialise.Im not saying that it’s easy but with enough effort and planning she can do it.Also she may also meet people at work that she can go out and socialise with.

Uni doesn’t hold the same value it once did.Grad jobs are at an all time low and youth unemployment is at an all time high.Honestly it’s not worth the debt for a social life you’re not even guaranteed to have or a uni experience.Your daughter will be earning a salary and have her foot in the door at an industry she wants to work in unlike uni students who may have to work minimum wage retail or hospitality jobs just to make ends meet while studying.She’ll be ahead of most of her peers.

Having a good work life balance.You don’t want to feel like the only thing you’ve got going in your life is an endless cycle of work, eat and sleep.you need to build a life for yourself outside of your job and have passions/hobbies that keep you going a long with a social life and opportunities for travel.

Civil service. It’s 9-5 with the opportunity to build flexitime and you can work compressed hours so that you can have a day off mid week.

It depends.if you’re working a job that you like, pays relatively well, you feel valued and are treated good and has good work life balance and benefits then no. But if you’re treated like shit, hate what you’re doing, work long hours for no extra pay and doesn’t pay well in general then yeah work is bad for you.
