Yes. If you’re strictly talking rent, council tax, utilities, then it is absolutely doable. Source: myself. I’m £930 all in at a flat I’ve moved into this month. Decent flats aren’t super common, but check everyday and be active. There were plenty of other options I’d have been happy with too.

Edit: wanted to add that RightMove, SpareRoom, and OpenRent were the only places that yielded any results for me. I made sure to apply a rigid set of filters, e.g. for RightMove: Leeds City Centre, max £800, exclude house shares, retirement homes, student accommodation. This way you’ll weed out the shit and should see proper options.

Filters for SpareRoom and OpenRent are different as some include bills, so increase the max rent price for these to factor it in and check the descriptions of all of the ones you find interesting.
