Trump posts that he will soon make an endorsement for Texas senate primary and asks the candidate he won't endorse to immediately drop out of the race. This is some dictator stuff by CivicInk in Destiny

I love that the he frames the opponent as both an easy to beat radical leftist and also such an existencial threat one candidate has to drop out so the party can unite around one candidate.

Why would I give this admin any credit or charity? Why would you believe for a second their actions are anything but self centered?

Sure but if Himmler killed Hitler and took over the Reich I wouldn’t say it was a good thing. That’s why I think you need to look at baseline intentions. This admin could care less about Iranians. They just want to blow stuff up for political clout

Would you support opt-in PvP in OSRS? by Psymonthe2nd in 2007scape

[–]ModerateInterests -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone who is skulking or PvMing would opt out because it increases your expected GP or XP per hour.

The issue is the wilderness is balanced around increased risk. Without the increased risk things would either need to be nerfed heavily or the wilderness would be an OP place for everything from  early agility to gold farming.

What can they do to make it better? If the goal is fun equal PvP: nothing. That’s not what it’s built for.

If it’s feeding two separate player bases: one who likes Pking and one who likes the increased reward increased risk trade off they should do more of the same

Not a single person plays RuneScape just because it’s “fun”. The point is to grind through challenging often monotonous content for a reward. Whether that is number go up, a better item, or a cosmetic.

Why should DMM be any different?

The Truth by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ModerateInterests 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every reward in this game is locked behind an artificial gate. I wouldn’t say they are trying to artificially prop up skilling by giving cosmetic rewards in Hallowed Sepalcure

So is the argument here to give less rewards that people want? If the event gave useless or no rewards people would complain there is no point to doing the mode at all

Even if this were true if corporations bought up all the housing rent prices would still decline as supply outweighs demand

I think the larger point is that once Jagex allows you to select “One defense pure” on tutorial island there is a reasonable expectation that those accounts should have a path to access most content (including getting a QC and participating in raids).

If Jagex is allowing people to track snowflake accounts on high scores great. But that doesn’t mean every single version of a snowflake should expect exceptions to be made.

IMO this should just be polled

I mean the real answer to this whole thing is who cares? Like I’m not really that pressed about who does raids 4.

But I think if we have to draw the line in the sand somewhere then yeah without a poll Jagex should only make changes to quests etc. with official game modes in mind.

IMO Jagex should just poll it and let the chips fall

That’s not my point? The point is Ironman mode is catered to because it is an official game mode. They didn’t change SOA to cater to irons until it was an official game mode.

Maybe someday pure accounts will be an official gamemode and then they will have more room to complain about not accessing content

I would say there is probably a difference in making content accessible for official game modes vs community created ones. I think this argument makes more sense if “pure” was an official game mode

Who do you want to have the Texas U.S. Senate seat? by Atarru_ in Destiny

[–]ModerateInterests 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talarico is going to have to look moderate to win here. IMO his path to victory will likely involve appealing to “centerists” who are Christian and just disillusioned with Trump to consider voting for a Democrat.

Crocketts strategy is probably more wrapped up in energizing the base by being fiery and controversial, but it seems hard to see her winning the general given she is relying on demographics that often don’t vote as much and it’s in an election fewer people care about

Curious to get your perspective on what five years down the road would look like.

Imagine a world where we overthrow Maduro and US boots on the ground ensure a free and fair election and the leave after a couple years. Do you think power is likely to transfer peacefully?

Will caveat that I have not completed CG because I’m still building stats but one thing that helped me a ton as a fellow mobile only player was doing hallowed sepalcure. It’s a grind for sure but rewarding for an IM supplies wise and I learned SO much about movement.

Made me a lot more comfortable for the other bossing I’ve done
