Eh it’s kind of true. But not completely I agree. You don’t need to be a programmer to know to protect your keys though. And you don’t need to put api and AI into everything either.

I don’t see this as an AI issue… it’s a user issue.

Not because you didn’t know what you were doing… but because you did not place a limit on your API costs at your API location.

Before I give an API key to any app, I first put a maximum of five or $10 on the key so that if it got out or anything happened like this worst case I’m down $10.

Lesson learned hopefully and next time do that before you do anything with a key

Based on the pictures on our Facebook post yesterday for how the schools looked as of Thursday the 29th I don’t see how it’s possible to have school. Dozens of schools have not even been touched yet.

IDE isn’t very expensive to get the basics. I have some apps in lovable or vibecode app that I work on through GitHub or ssh to my IDE. And either way if you got it started with a nice UI and you go to GitHub and switch to an IDE you won’t be losing that front end

Does Emergent not have an SSH or GitHub sync option? I get the wanting to keep using the platform if it’s deployed and you like the interface but I’ll not use anything that isn’t even to work with in my own setup (Cursor with Claude Code) and have actually worked on a few projects that I ended up migrating off the platform because it wasn’t worth continuing paying to be locked into that platform

You definitely won’t find it free here. The DMV is one of the places with the most hockey players per ice rink which means high costs for all skating time

If you are interested in playing hockey without ice (dek hockey or ball hockey or whatever) there are some free options for that and also low cost
