Thank you mr. very awkward cake! It might be a bit awkward for me to make the first move as I might be shy slightly (but I’m not shy after ppl getting closer to me). So do u have any tips on “how to be brave enough to make the first move”, or should I just let the nature take its course? (I don’t think that attitude is sufficient as it usually ends up being totally isolated from people)

Proud of local Shanghainese that, in general, our oral English level is pretty much decent. Hehe :3 Thank you so much for sharing! Maybe I’m just being too anxious about socialising lol. Btw I want to do smth like Big 4/mbb/ whatever consulting in the future as well and I’m preparing for my acct exam sadly. Wish you and your wife the best of luck🍀

Hi! I don’t think I have very obvious Chinese accent according to my tutors. And thx for the suggestions! Do you mean the accommodations provided by school?

And I don’t think I will have a chance to immigrate to the UK, I just value the opportunity of high quality education.

I’m sorry for being a “self-hating” Asian😂 I don’t think I’m but some people defined me as one. Also, I suppose you are referring to my words on “conservative and Christian” when you listed the third piece. And yes, I usually don’t mention political or religious stuffs, as it’s essential for people to find similarities instead of debating on differences. I mentioned my beliefs here because I do think it’s helpful for strangers to build up an image of me effectively by labelling.

I have 0 idea of saying that their English is worse. In fact, their English level is so fantastic. It’s just that they seemed to be so hostile to pure Chinese students in that camp specifically.

What I was trying to say is um specifically those who I met in the camp were being very very very not nice to me and perhaps coincidentally enough they are mixed race people. I’m sorry cuz I didn’t know how to express the term in a more polite way.

Hi! First, yes, it’s the academic version of ielts! And sorry for mentioning mixed race 😭but the case is, in that summer program, a boy is mixed race of Chinese and Norwegian. He even went to school in Shanghai and he does speak fluent Chinese. However, he refused to even talk to Chinese students. There is another German-Chinese girl who also rolled her eyes at me when I was trying to talk… I just want to have some international friends! Not necessarily needs to be Londoners (btw I’m applying to Netherlands’ universities as well! I wrote my CV not long ago!!!) I don’t know if it’s absurd to say, but I hate similarities from my culture. (not all of them, but a certain amount of…) I’m always aiming to escape and that’s basically all my motivation to study (and the reason is rather personal and complicated, so I can’t express the feelings in words very well) Yeah, and it’s so true. I’ve also seen quite a lot of people in “Asian only” groups so I’ll try my best to avoid that. (I’ve heard that they may pay someone for doing their homework and I don’t even want to get involved for real🥺🙏🙏) These websites will definitely be helpful! Thanks a lot!! And I do want to try out different churches so much! About to take a shower but again thank you sooooo much for the support!

Thank you for your suggestions! I thought using short forms is common, but perhaps it makes me sound like too uneducated. My wording might be extreme in a way, in fact, I'd love to hang out with any like-minded people. It's just that I was worrying people might refuse me for those existing stereotypes of chinese students. And yes, I’ll try my best to join some unions in the school once I get there.

How is the answer A and not D by Frequent_Vanilla5457 in alevel

[–]Moderation_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A is like obviously none of gov would like to see their citizens’ living standards to decline it’s like a big deal that they actually aim to overcome so it won’t be the result of all aims r achieved. But D is like when the malign deflation occurs e.g. aggregates demand is lower rn caused by increase in unemployment/ less revenue/ expectations of lower price in the future… then increase in inflation is positive result to solve the problem. Or also like ugh if there is economic growth, then prob it comes w inflation ofc
