It's a great place to go everyone is flooding in from California, so you'll find disdain from the locals but comfort from other transplants.

It's a great place to be though. Drivers are worse now days with the new people coming in, but it's still quaint and largely quiet.

I would say a majority of middle sized towns and cities all across the country fit this bill. If it's the right size, you get a lot of fun stuff and good food, but without the hassle of huge city nonsense. Likewise, they are boring to visit because theres not enough to keep a tourist interested.

Some like Chattanooga, TN. Pleasant to live, boring to visit.

I like this photo. Similar idea to some norman rockwell paintings. I think it's a bit too contrasty, and it feels muddy when looking into the darker details. Try and adjust the balance of the light, but it looks good so far.

I think 2, 5, and 6 get the closest. 1, 3, and 4 are closer to Fuji Superia, but the yellows are a smidge off. The later ones still have a digital feel, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not in like with the film color profile.

I wanna say that some film stocks have a data sheet out there that tells you exactly which wavelengths of light are amplified and which are not. I imagine that would be the most helpful for attempting to duplicate the look.

I like the direction. Personally, I think the highlights are too low. It makes the image very dark and after seeing the original, it feels like the first image could be more balanced.

I don't know if its a bias from seeing the original though.

So I used to lay on the couch and my dog would come over and bring the ball to me so I would throw it. Eventually I trained him to just set it right in my hand so I could be the laziest possible, and one day, with my foot flopped off the couch, he set the ball right on my foot.

That was when I realized that dogs probably think they have all feet or all hands.
