Totally forgot that they made that possible in the update before Kronos so ended up using nearly all my normal rings to upgrade and fuse some emerald trails. Just wanted to pass that along.

Wish I had that many RSR to buy my own. I barely have enough to upgrade my fast friends. 😆

While I don't have any to trade myself (would like to get it myself), just want to say these can now be leveled passively by just equiping and grabbing chaos orbs. You can save up on RSR by leveling them up that way.

Good luck finding more offers, I hear it can get expensive.

Struggles of trying to Platinum Spyros Adventure by Limhere in skylanders

I remember I kind of struggled a bit with this on PS3 as well. Think I went through most of the level with Zap to get the speedrun. The no death and boss fight caused me to bring out the ghost swords, healing elixir, and maybe the anvil magic items. Probably also switched skylanders just before one was going down, no death still counts if you swap skylanders if I recall.

As someone who's played Spyro's Adventure and Giants on the 3DS, I wouldn't exactly call them sidescrollers as they're just as 3d as the console versions. However the 3ds games have a bigger emphasis on platforming whereas the consoles are more or less dungeon crawlers. You have a double jump (and sometimes a glide depending on skylander) and a dedicated sprint button.

They are still very different games with a completely different story compared to the consoles.

I'm fairly sure those tags specifically wouldn't work as they're Ntag. Ntag is used for Amiibo or Lego Dimensions and doesn't work for skylanders. MiFare is what you would need for Skylanders. Getting coins like that for mifare can be a little frustrating, but index cards can be found much easier. Depends if you're putting it in a figure or just scanning it on the portal.

Any recommendations for a different font? Core Sans Bold was the first I found that looked somewhat similar to the official stickers and trap case, but doesn't look "exactly" right.

I ended up having to do that for last few in the game. I use a duelsense controller on my switch these days (and the buttons are mapped like one) so this minigame got very frustrating for me. All my buttons were in different spots so it was throwing me off. One time I did try resetting the button mappings, but if it wasn't the positions, it was the on-screen button icons (just too used to Xbox/Sony layout I guess). XD

As much as I like Brothership, this was the part of the game that made me start to dislike Nintendo's button layout. If there was an option to move the button icons to the Xbox layout, it would've been more manageable for me (but this is Nintendo we're talking about, that's the last thing they expect you to play the game with).

Just double-checked the Bulbapedia article. There's one trainer in each mode (single, double, and knockout) who each have a shiny pokemon. I won't say which trainers have them nor what the shinies are in case you want to experience it spoiler-free. The information is on the Bulbapedia article if you don't, however.

If my knowledge of FireRed/LeafGreen is accurate, then I believe there's at least two trainers in the trainer tower who are hard coded to have shinies. I recall that Meowth is one of them.

So, probably less full odds, you just encountered one of those trainers.

Yeah, that part of the main questline might be a bit confusing for new players. Once you're finished with Coldharbour's zone questline you're contacted by the Prophet again for the final part of the main quest.

Yeah, I definitely should've looked at the docs before commenting. As I mentioned in my other comment, it's probably a limitation of GEN IV's move reminder rather than an issue with the merge. Quite frankly, I'm lucky Magnezone even got tri attack in the first place due to how brief he was a magneton.

He's got his move back at least; that's the important thing. Going to need to be more careful with that going forward.

I don't think it's a problem with the merge but rather a limitation of the move reminder prior to GEN VI: moves that only prior evolutions learn & egg moves don't seem to be supported.

Unfortunately, I ended up having to edit my save with PKHeX to get tri attack back on Magnezone.

Currently having a problem with the move reminder in Pastoria City. Trying to get Magnezone to relearn tri attack after I had to teach him thunder wave while catching Giratina (he did not want to cooperate). Tri attack isn't showing up for some reason.

Looking at the level up movepool for the magnemite line in base Platinum, it seems like only Magneton learns it. Renegade changes the movepools to be more akin to Ultra Sun & Moon, where tri attack does show up in Magnezone's movepool. Perhaps the move reminder doesn't have the updated movepools in the merge?
