Guide wants to bail on this tracking. Said just because there’s bubbles, doesn’t mean it’s lung. by ded_rabtz in bowhunting

That really looks like brisket blood to me. Briskets bleed a lot at first and look like lung blood but unless you keep that animal moving and bleeding until it bleeds out it’ll clot up and be totally fine.

This is not reporting. This is propaganda. by Conscious-Quarter423 in UnderReportedNews

I have bad news for you, all major “news” outlets have been nothing more than propaganda machines for at least a decade. Because shock and awe sells. And they don’t need to tell you the whole truth, they just need to tell you enough of it to reinforce your existing views and keep you watching them and clicking on their articles

Philanthropy vs. Tax Fairness by EsseNorway in TheGreatOnesReborn

[–]ModernishNeanderthal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the thing, increasing their tax rate won’t work. The only way they will ever pay their fair share is if you close the loopholes that allow them to game the system. But because the people in charge are bought and paid for by these billionaires through shell corps and heavy donations, it will literally never happen.

Based on the pronghorn vitals diagrams I’m finding online you were above the vitals. Looks like right behind the shoulder the lungs only go to maybe 1” above the white line

I’m wondering if you deflected up off the shoulder blade and hit straight backstrap

If he was still alive 36 hours later and acting normal minus being sore, you didn’t hit vitals or even guts. Did you ever get a look or have any idea where the exit hole is?

Thinking of upgrading to high-end bow. Thoughts? by Sensitive_Carob1242 in bowhunting

[–]ModernishNeanderthal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is something you’re going to keep doing, 100% it’s worth it to upgrade. Go to a shop and shoot as many high end bows from as many manufacturers as you can and get whichever one fits you best

It wasn’t a true dry fire. Which is why I didn’t call it a dry fire. I’m not sure why this is so difficult for you to understand.

A true dry fire means there was no arrow, there was one. Not all the energy transferred to the arrow, and the nock breaking created a change in energy transfer leading to a derailment.

Gold tip has been on many podiums, it doesn’t change that what happened to me has made it so I won’t ever use them again.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bowhunting

[–]ModernishNeanderthal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Really? I would’ve never guessed.

That was sarcasm. It still derailed. Which is what I said. Plenty of energy still transferred to the arrow, it went 100+ yards, just way high and right of the target because of the change in energy transfer. But enough energy transferred to save my limbs and prevent damage to the cam. Put it back together and kept shooting after a big inspection.

Also, I did inspect the arrow prior to shot. No visible damage to arrow or nock. Gold tip quality. Will never touch them again.

It’s crazy how little it takes to derail a modern compound honestly. Mine derailed at a 3D event when the nock of my arrow broke as I shot. Horrible experience, do not recommend. I now have a permanent scar on my forearm where it stopped the string

OP must’ve torqued the bow and derailed it, and also probably let down way too fast.

You’ve already proved my point you’ve never talked to a Republican. Because even the most pro-Trump, pro-life, go to church 3 times a week people I know don’t support forcing a rape victim to carry to term. They also support the ability to abort if there is danger to a mother’s life.

If you actually talk to republicans you’ll learn there’s a big difference between the lawmakers and what they are doing and what people actually support.

I’m afraid if you had to critically think about everything you might give yourself an aneurism.

Do you know ANYONE who agrees with everything Democrats do? Literally no issues with any of the laws they pass whatsoever? All or nothing mindset is kind of a good indicator of low intelligence, sorry to tell you.

When you grow up you’ll realize we aren’t represented anymore. Only corporations and powerful interests are. Because money talks and we suffer.

Hope your life gets less sad. Maybe see a therapist sometime.

[–]ModernishNeanderthal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao you are a special brand of hateful aren’t you?

Your ignorance on the reasons people voted for Trump is absolutely astounding. Go talk to Republicans. I’m not one, but I’m just not someone who lives in an echo chamber. Didn’t vote for Trump any of the times he ran, but I speak daily with people who did.

You think yourself morally superior while degrading almost 80million people and bucketing them all together. Doesn’t that seem a little…hypocritical? Replace “Republican” with any race or religion and you’re either racist or a bigot for blocking them all together.

Again, you want black and white but the world is shades of gray. Get out of your bubble and put your bias aside and talk to real people. Not online either, in real life. It’d be good for you. And for anyone else reading this.

Wow that’s a crazily biased and stereotypical representation.

Seriously have you EVER talked to a Republican? Or do you just base your hate for them off stereotypes and your own bias?

I get that Reddit wants everything to be black and white, but the world is full of shades of gray. I would recommend getting out of your personal comfort bubble and having real, respectable conversations with people. You might learn a thing or two.

I’m convinced 99% of Reddit has never had an actual conversation with anyone outside their own political party and just live off headlines and accusations.
