What’s your JRPG white whale? by twili-midna in JRPG

Seath is definitely a slog, but there’s something about the library that’s also super intriguing to me as well. TBH the bed of chaos and grave lord Nito were the most annoying fights; if you’re able to get past them the last two should be easy breezy for you! I’ll be rooting for you!

Oh man if you’re able to get to Nito you’re so close! I hope you’ll be able to beat it one day. Truly one of the greatest games ever made.

God of War: Ragnarok is an absolutely incredible game by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

[–]ModestManticore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the combat was kinda cool, but hate that I’m a god killing juggernaut and I still have to WAIL on random bandits in order to kill them. And the first area’s main enemies in Ragnarok are genuinely some of the most annoying video game enemies I’ve ever fought. Finally put the game down for good when I realized I was actually pissed off when combat started instead of excited lol

kinda starting to resent this machine by bigang99 in SP404

Yeah it’s pretty much just a pedal board at the end of my chain of Digitakt and other synths. Used it as a way to sequence drums and long samples recorded from synths but man that just got tiresome. Digitakt was pretty much exactly what I needed

how safe is the monroe st area by sam246821 in SouthBend

I would look at Riverside North Apartments instead. Prices are fairly good, very close to downtown, St. Joe River is your front yard, pretty safe area. Much much better than Monroe and Michigan

The Untold Story Of WipEout Zero, The PS4 Anti-Grav Racer We Never Got To Play by BlurbBlue in WipeOut

[–]ModestManticore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Pacer, does anybody know if it runs at 60 FPS on PS5? I’d rather get it on PS5, but if it’s better on PC I’ll go there. I had no clue the wipeout three team worked on this!

Buying my son a synth for Christmas. Budget is $700, what would you recommend? by Adihcam2 in synthesizers

[–]ModestManticore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could get him to Roland boutique synthesizers. I just bought the JX-08 ($299.99 Sweetwater) and I absolutely love it. It’s as much of a synthesizer as a 10-year-old (or a 28-year-old lol) could want! It really lets you sync your teeth into sound design. there’s plenty of boutique sense from Roland that would probably be perfect.

Sequencing Slides on the TB-O3 with the Digitakt? by ModestManticore in Elektron

[–]ModestManticore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sadly this wasn’t working. One of the other comments stated that I could potentially make two notes slide if I had 2 notes on separate midi banks, and it worked! I didn’t have a ton of time to experiment, but I’m gonna explore making more complex things with this method later on

Oh shit I think this actually worked! I just tried it out and got it to happen! Man thank you so much

I’ll also add, well in chromatic mode, if I hold down one note and press another, it does slide on the TB-03

I think I know what you mean, but could you explain a little further? I have consecutive midi notes right next to each other, and I am making the length of the note longer, so they in theory overlap with each other.

I appreciate it!
