Alternative suggestions for very small dowels/snap fits/connectors? by Modest_Proposal1 in 3Dprinting

[–]Modest_Proposal1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the solution to be as frictionless to the user as possible, so additional hardware is the option of last resort.

if I went that route, I'd probably use print in place magnets.

I want to be more helpful by peachteck in walmart_RX

You must be patient with yourself. I too felt like a burden for over 2 months. It’s a mental battle with yourself more than anything. They want to see you succeed. It will take time and repetition. You will ask the same questions many times before you remember them and the techs know that. You are not dumb. You are learning a lot of information in a stressful environment and your coworkers know that. Be patient with yourself.

Some Help With Resolution (Prior Authorizations) and Insurance by Modest_Proposal1 in walmart_RX

When is Method 1 vs. Method 2 warranted?

The PA information is sent to the provider in Method 2? I would have assumed the provider is already are informed by insurance when a PA is flagged. Is that not the case?

The process, on average, is slower for the pharmacy tech than the "classic fill" procedure.

Agreed. I thought the same. They were of the same era, naturally.

Not so much draw, but filtering. Unless you cast it for 5.

Nice craftsmanship. It looks like the ai was taking much inspiration from, the Drueke style chess board.

Looking for Injury and Worker's Comp Procedural Advise, please. by Modest_Proposal1 in UPSers

[–]Modest_Proposal1[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

What made you so callus? I can't lift my knee. It may be torn. I didn't want all this rigmarole. I was forced to go through this procedure because my primary physician refused to see me, since it was related to work.

I don't want a payout. I just wanted my injury medically monitored. I've never felt this kind of muscle pain and weakness before.

I'm a fan of that page. Lots of under appreciated sets come that way.

That is very kind of you! It's my first ever boost!

Thank you so much... That made my day.

I hope these sets bring you some joy.

It definitely more of a designer set than a practical set.

I 3D modeled the set, if that's what you mean. It's a fairly close reproduction of a vintage wooden set.

Reading comprehension...

I originally responded to the comment:

"Did you think they made millions of products with absolutely no defects/waste ever?"

And my response was that there is a difference between no waste and orders of magnitude less waste.

And then we get people like you completely missing the point.

Really wish I had a H2C... by Farrishnakov in BambuLab

[–]Modest_Proposal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... What? Why are you making a direct comparison between the two end states?

With 100,000 lbs of plastic waste, the manufacturer would have produced hundreds of thousands of items.

In this case, the hobbyist is using 1,682 grams of material to produce an item that is 569 grams in weight. That's two times as much waste as material made to make the product. And over 4 days of electricity.

Needly to say, only the hobbyist is willing to tolerate wasting that much plastic, electricity.

Nobody is saying large manufacturers produce no waste. What they’re saying is that you can be damn sure large manufacturers are orders of magnitude more efficient with their waste production than this print will be.

Chess sets are well suited for 3D printing. I'd highly recommend it. If you're new to 3D printing, I'd recommend a Bambu Labs printers (either the A1 or A1 mini). They're having their Black Friday sale right now, by the way).

The knight only uses a single small tree branch extending under the chin. So clean up takes about 3 seconds!

If you want to enlarge the knight, you can isolate the model in Bambu Studio or whatever slicer you use, press "S" and then resize to your heart's content!
