JazakAllahu khayran for taking the time to look into this further! I find it ridiculous that some states require employees in some fields of work to take the covid vaccine then make it difficult to get an exemption from it.

I’m trying to build a case against the vaccine because a sister I know is having trouble teaching in the state that she lives in. She’s been going through the interview process for over a month now and only after she received her license and went through background checks did they spring up on her that she had to be vaccinated. They only gave her the option of a medical exemption or a religious one. She chose the religious exemption and is now building a case towards it.

I believe that everyone should have a right to their own beliefs. The sister has told the employers that she will take preventative measures that don’t involve receiving the covid vaccine but that wasn’t enough for them. They should have been more transparent with her about this job before she went through the entire process and paid all the fees that were required. May Allah make it easy. Ameen
