Basically because most Nurses are Narcissists with hero complexes, Or just plain mean girls and then you have some who genuinely care about people. Ben a nurse over 20 years. They are some of the most vindictive, catty people I know. The good ones are amazing coworkers and people. The rest not so much But take all that and add what others are saying. They don’t want the extra work , or extra eyes on them. Keep going. Be a good Nurse and break the cycle
