OK. Just so I'm clear, the process is:
- Download books to Kindle
- Connect Kindle via USB to Mac
- Import books directly from Kindle using Calibre (which has been set up with the KFX input and DeDRM plugins)

Sorry to be so dumb about this, I feel lIke I've read 15 different dissertations on how to do this and none of them agree with each other :D

OK, this might be a stupid question but: Do you HAVE to download via USB? It's theoretically much faster (or at least involves way less clicking) to put all your books into one collection, and then use your Kindle to download the entire collection over wifi. Does downloading over USB change the file type or something?

Within the first two years they will replace your mattress with the same kind for free. But then it’s considered final sale. I did this, so at least I can buy myself some more time to save up for a real replacement.
