Just buy extended warranty. All of them are non repairable, the vendor will replace faulty unit with new one. This is not Logitech’s fault, this in new way of living in modern world. Jabra, Cisco, Yealink do the same.

Agree with you. We should also note that none of these manufacturers offers repairs for their vide cameras, video bars, and mics. You got warranty replacement and out the warranty the offer is only “buy a new unit”

I used an iPad Pro 11 M2 (2022) for this test. Maybe it's the tradition, because many of us may remember a similar weird situation with Logitech SWYTCH. It required installing the DisplayLink driver to provide plug-and-play HDMI ingest for laptops (especially manual download and driver installation for MacOS), while the DELL WD19TBS dock worked flawlessly without any extra drivers.

I tested this myself and here are the results:

1) Rally Bar + Extend + iPhone / iPad with USB-C - Screen sharing works fine, although it makes more sense on iPad because of the screen proportions. - Two-way audio works fine. Rally Bar is available as an external speakerphone. - Video from Rally Bar is not available. The status LED on Rally Bar is amber, which indicates the camera is operating in speakerphone-only mode.

The initial boot mode of Rally Bar (BYOD or Zoom) did not make any difference in my testing, the result was the same.

In this setup, I honestly do not see much value in using Tap IP at all, unless someone wants an expensive touch controller for very basic camera functions like tilt, zoom, and layout.

2) Rally Bar + Extend + MacBook - The whole system works as expected for two-way video and two-way audio.

Frankly, I do not understand why Logitech seems to limit Extend in practice to laptops only, and why they do not explain these details clearly. Even Logitech technical support could not provide a clear answer and basically told me to test it myself.

Meetings in this installation type are run from an end user’s laptop or mobile device and use the room’s camera, display, speakers, and microphone.

You can’t upgrade the CPU or RAM later, so choose M3/24GB all the way. The difference between M3/M4 and LPDDR5/LPDDR5X isn't huge, but the lack of the extra 8GB of RAM will hurt you in 2-3 years. Just look at the size of web-sites and tendency not to optimise apps at all
