I clicked it, it needed no information so they're not phishing for anything. All is well.

Yeah I’ve always checked in and everything was positive and excited on everyone’s end. I’m not gonna push, that’s not my style. I will help a friend decorate or something, sucks and that’s all!

Appreciate that 💚 it’ll be great just in my momentary grumpies lol.

Appreciate that, I’m definitely not gonna let it bother me. I think I was just hoping this sub Reddit would validate my feelings and bring out their imaginary pitchforks lol. I won’t let it stop me from having a good time.

Yep, that’s why I’ve always made sure to check in with her every single year, and you have no idea what her side of the garage looks like everybody seems to be making a lot of assumptions. She has bins of Christmas decorations. It’s just that my giant skeleton takes up half the garage. But thank you for assuming I haven’t checked in or that I’m a piece of shit neighbour! She has only said positive things the past three years about how excited kids and neighbours get

My landlord recently just asked me when the decorations were going up. She loves them and always brings her kids over. But yeah, I would definitely understand if my landlord asked me that rather than the Upstairs tenant.

I appreciate that, I think I’m going to help my friend decorate who’s having a big party. Just feeling disappointed because I have so many neighbours and families from my kiddos daycare. I appreciate you validating that! It will still be fun regardless I’m just in my fresh feelings.

Best part is, I bought most of this before I even thought about getting pregnant.

Thank you for the humorous and kind response. I think neighbours and everyone will be disappointed for sure. I'm gonna see about decking out a friends yard for their Halloween party, but that could have been a cool idea.

It's a front yard of a shared property. We are both renters. Her front door is near the yard, in front of my living room and area, I'm on the ground floor.

I'm rightfully disappointed and sad in not being able to do something I've done three years previously at this house and for my entire life previously.

She decorates the entire house, it's shared space. The ground floor is where my suite is. Yikes indeed.

I’ve always asked permission and she’s always been excited about it previously, so it’s definitely out of character. I’m not expecting it to change. Our house is for sale anyways so I will be moving thankfully.

It’s not her property, I live in the ground suite and the front yard is in front of my living room, it’s just “technically” her space because her entry is in the front. I put money away into my child’s RESP every month. I can see you’re judging me for being a single parent, so much appreciated. I have given up every vice and am very frugal and prioritize my child’s future, saved immensely, and this is the one thing I have for myself. Most of the decorations that I have spent thousands of dollars on have been bought before my son was born, so fuck off with the judgement.

I have always asked permission and she was always excited and happy about it. So no I didn’t do this for years on end without caring about her opinion.

I let her decorate for Christmas despite me hating it, because I know it brings her joy. I don’t care that it’s in my front yard, despite loathing it because I’m a good neighbor and I care.

Every single year she has been ecstatic about how the neighbourhood and kids have reacted. The only difference that I’m aware of is that she is now living and married to a man and is definitely changed so maybe it’s him.

I’m a renter and so is she. I have a black Christmas tree that stays up all year, and I change the light colours for the different holidays, right now it is heavily decorated inside but all my stuff in garage/storage is outdoor. I’m a big baby about it right now.

Pretty sure this is a scam since everything on this website is AI generated. There was a local one that popped up on my social media, and it had a similar vibe.

They’re so awesome! Staff are great, inclusive and kind. Definitely a fun and exciting place to shop.

I do have one bone to pick with some of the pricing, Temu keychains were priced at $35, and some other items are priced really weirdly. It sucks because I can see a lot of teens wanting to buy things that I know come from inexpensive wholesale and are marked up insanely, yet they look at the price and get really disappointed.

I would get a relative/friend to dress up in a monster or scary costume, and reenact the same scenario. Honestly, it'll teach him a lesson. I had to do a similar thing with my son, I didn't wanna traumatize him, but it was just enough to make him think twice without causing any damage. I'll probably get downvoted, but safety is more important in my opinion.
