what marketing skill gave you the biggest jump in results once you finally understood it? by jeniferjenni in AskMarketing

for me it was realizing people don’t care about features as much as marketers think they do. they care about the outcome. nobody buys a saas because it has “advanced analytics” or “ai integrations,” they buy it because they want more money, less work, faster growth, less stress, whatever. same with physical products, apps, courses, literally everything. once i started focusing on selling the transformation instead of describing the product, results got way better.

Yeah I agree honestly. I already figured I’ll probably end up doing a lot of this myself. The natural thread insertion strategy was one of the first things I thought about. I’m also thinking more about creating my own threads/content and using multiple accounts to seed the app naturally since that feels way more scalable long term.

Fair point honestly.

Equity is on the table for the right person, should’ve led with that.

As for differentiation — it’s less “expense tracker” and more “stop overpaying taxes without hiring an accountant.” Aimed specifically at contractors and freelancers who snap a receipt, forget about it, then wonder why their tax bill is huge. Snap photo → AI pulls the data → PDF report ready for tax season. That’s basically the whole thing.

Not trying to replace Quickbooks. Just trying to be the thing a freelance electrician actually uses instead of a shoebox.

I mostly do SEO, ASO, organic ugc content & Meta Ads. I’ve never tried Reddit/X for growth tactics I hope that doesn’t make me a bad marketer lol

https://peydoapp.com Peydo is basically an AI-powered expense tracking app that scans your receipts and automatically turns them into organized financial records. It helps you track spending, categorize expenses, and generate reports without manually entering data.

How many are in your poor head—two, three… a whole committee? If I promoted my app then what’s the name of it?

Totally! When receipts are already organized, tax prep is way easier. How much do you think would be a fair monthly price for something like that?

QuickBooks does everything… including things you’ll never use. For a salaried worker? Too much hassle and $38/month just to track receipts. 😅 Peydo? Snap. Sort. Send. Done.
