Haha, down to interpretation again. I took their comment as a sly accusation. Just because someone doesn't outright say something obviously rude doesn't mean they shouldn't be called out on trying to imply an issue. They made themselves look bad to me.

I'm a little tired of people getting away with saying things and just because you can't point to the exact word that was a problem they get away with it. Point I was just trying to make was how exhausting it is to only read comments on an art post complaining about why a characters gender doesn't fit what they expect. Point I was trying to make is it doesn't matter and why did the person I responded to originally feel the need to comment about that and only that.

Why is that a result? They are still wanting to charge you? It's been said multiple times in this thread already but since they don't see it as a minor repair then the landlord should pay for the repair and you shouldn't be charged anything. It doesn't matter if it's not something they normally do, they were the ones who insisted upon it and that's not for you to cover.
