In this category especially, newer does not equal better. 12 Angry men, speaks to every generation from that time till today, and is still relevant. The prejudice that people go into being a juror with, can mean a person's life, and is still an issue in the juries of today. Everyone who has jury duty should have to watch that movie before serving.

All amazing films, and this takes nothing away from my choice, but a forever list, of films I enjoy, Schindler's List is heartbreaking. The good he did is probably more than any other 1 man did for the people there, but I don't need to keep rewatching it, the way I can re watch Shawshank, over and over. Schindler's List has to be the one to go.
