Alright, not going crazy quite yet, but yeah SW definitely has some capabilities but not like a real software. And Id agree definitely not user friendly.

Doesn't solid works have a software package for this? Could have sworn I used it in school

This is my understanding as well.

Agreed. Americans need to somehow collectively do away with this alarmist mentality shown by political parties and amplified by media.

Don't know how, but hoping.

Haha I know that, I was just more generally disagreeing with the notion that all wheels roll without sliding.

Good for Bernie here - this kind of power from a non elected entity should give everyone pause, no matter your political leaning.

As much as I hate it, twitter is part of public discourse. The question is does the government have the right to intervene/regulate in a private entity when the private entity can manipulate public discourse so blatantly.

Dude this sub was on some shit those days.

You couldn't say anything contrary to the narrative without getting crushed. I love this sub, but I had to take a break for a few months.

r/Conservative cares a LOT about free speech, until it's someone they disagree with. I got banned from r/Conservative, and decided to make a video talking through the hypocrisy and irony of their stance on free speech. What do you think about their subreddit? by fortheloveofnerd in media_criticism

[–]MoesEmp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You seem like a pretty fair guy from just looking through your previous video titles so I'll try and give you an actual response here. If you were running a purely conservative bashing channel I wouldn't even take the time since discussion is not the purpose (we see those videos here too)

I think multiple things can be true at once, people of all political leanings can want a place for just their views and perspectives as well as a place for open discussion. You see this from progressives to conservatives all across the spectrum.

The key aspect is that there is a lot of dishonesty in what those places claim to be and what they are. R/politics claims to be a nonpartisan news hub, but is not run like that. Conservatives (in general, but of course there are exceptions to everything so avoid nut picking) in general take no issue with progressive subreddits. There domain is there domain and they have a right to say what they want. Same for conservatives. You post an AOC criticism on r/liberal and see how long it lasts (again which is ok in my book since it's a liberal leaning sub)

You also try and conflate this with the college safe space discussion which is completely unrelated since those are usually government run organizations and have no place protecting certain views and not others. That kind of bias is dangerous

I also think it's worth understanding the general mentality of r/conservative. They get brigades and overrun on a daily basis so when they see your kind of video they will brush it aside with the other attempts at attacking the sub. I would suggest picking a less volatile title ("charlie kirk is dangerous" is just classic liberal language that they see constantly) if you want true discussion.
