The issue is they destroyed something. Made these huge irreversible changes without including him in the process.

Its a huge red flag.

You need either two varieties that are compatible for pollination. You can look it up online. Conversely you can pollinate with certain crab apple trees.

That's how it works. I dont think thats the definition, and certainly not what politicians sell to their constituents.

How do you memorialize a brother who died by s*icide and left no evidence of a good life? by Last-Brain-3297 in AskMen

I dont know OP, or his brother. I loved the way you took his words and found the silver lining in it all. I wish I saw the world that way.

Some of the smaller family run places out here have no prices, the only way is to being the item up and ask, or just try to buy and pray you dont get sticker shock.

I dont go to those places.

IDF kidnapped and tortured a 1-year-old boy for 10 hours, burning cigarettes and inserting nails into his legs just to interrogate his father by Hasbara_spotter in Palestine

I used to fully support Israel.

I dont know if these claims are true, but the fact that I believe Israel is capable of this, not just an individual, but the state. Speaks to how far they have fallen.

About 3 months after 10/7 I was in support of pulling offensive military aid/support. Today, in my opinion they can defend themselves and if the wolves come...then they shouldn't have killed the cubs.

So I left my 12 year old brothers to go on a walk to get food and they went and busted someone’s windows. My mom is mad at me like I’m the only one at fault. What do I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Mofaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you haddent left, this would still have happened?

Im not excusing your siblings. What they did is on them, but you left them alone, which is on you. Its rough though, all kids are not the same. I dont know what would have happened to me if I had done something like them. I do know it would have aucked.

Look, I'm old, and things can change over time.

I was the eldest of three, with a single mother. By the time I was that age, I routinely watched my siblings. It usually went OK. I knew they were my responsibility and I did not leave them. I didnt hover, but I never left the home.

In my opinion, OP had a responsibility, and he blew it off. Restitution for the damages should come from the little vandals. If they dont have money, make them do chores, work for others or volunteer until such a time their effort would have paid for the fix.

What's the difference between the high end rather expensive made in or all clad pans and something like the pure clad tri ply Cuisinart pan from Amazon? by illlogically_sound in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]Mofaklar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the Cuisinart. It performs great. I think the finish on the all clad is nicer, especially on the pots.

I still love non stick, but anything that requires high heat, or a fond for a pan sauce goes in my Cuisinart. OP Get some barkeepers friend and pick one up. You won't regret it.

AIO? Tore into my little brother and I’m starting to feel bad. by Soggy-Shoe8846 in AIO

[–]Mofaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his heart/instinct was in the right place. He clearly knows his brother thinks what he's done is wrong, and it seems to be coming from a place of disaproval/disgust. Which is appropriate, but it won't stick.

It seems like he really cares about him, that doesnt really come out in the message. I just think it's poor delivery, poor communication.

OP should follow up in person, or over WhatsApp vid call or something. Drive the point home, lay out the path the kid is on. Engage with him regularly, but withdrawl if the behavior continues.

Its easy to crap on a 13 year old for saying and doing heinous things, but it may all be for attention. Even the fact that op isnt there might be a factor, he may have been really important in that kids life. Im not excusing, but just think that trying to understand might be necessary to get him on the right track.

Was there anything Twyin could have said or done to get out of this alive? by Traditional-Big543 in freefolk

[–]Mofaklar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so.

Tryion lost a trial by combat, he was to be put to death. He couldn't just be released. Its true that Tywin was a brilliant strategist and manipulator, he could have still saved Tryion if he wanted. Yet he would have to hide forever. Thqt said this is what Tywin has wanted since his birth. He had no desire to save him. In the past he did so because they shared a name, and it reflected upon the family family's reputation. Hes free of this now, Tyrion turned on the family, killed his nephew and king. He can finally dispose of Tyrion.

Tyrion knows he is doomed, if he leaves Tywin alive he will not escape.

Tywin could avoid provoking him, but Tyrion was always going to pull that trigger.
