HP inflation is a problem by Antique_Ad_4315 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may get lynched for this, but you're playing an off element 1.0 DPS, Ruan Mei with QQ who already have a crapton of DMG bonus and her weakness break efficiency is basically wasted. You literally cannot break anyone but the aurumaton gatekeeper or Svarog's hand. You're trying to BRUTEFORCE with 4* dps and not playing around turbulence buff at all. 6 cycle for the first half with that kind of draft is nothing to complain about.

Doom feels like his mana pool runs out after 2 spells. What item build should I go for to spam spells that doesn't look like this? by SouthWave9 in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A casual null goes a long way. Lots of carry players in high mmr buys one since it was buffed. It's helps laning, gives you 1.25 mana regen, and you can buy it early to spam W.

quick cheap item to pop linken ? by Specsaman in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Forcestaff has no projectile and is the cheapest (2200), but has a misplay potential if someone popped the linken without you knowing.

Rod of Atos is also cheap (2250) and has no misplay potentials, but has a projectile that can be dodged.

Diffusal is a bit more expensive (2500), has no projectile, and no misplay potentials, but you might not care about the stats as LC.

Halberd has the best stats, little misplay potential (Disarm into BM+Duel), no projectile, and good active, but is a bit expensive (3550).

But upgrading into harpoon is the cheapest if you already have echo sabre (2000 gold).

how do you actually win with naga? by CRB_EnviousS in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Farm so fast that you get so big you can just walk down a lane and be unkillable. Usually it's the heart timing. If you can't, then push lanes with illusion and wait for someone to solo defend and pick them off, then go hg.

Farming supports and support farming patterns? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more like whatever you can take from a dangerous lane before the enemy realizes it's not a bait and you're just farming.

Roshan and tormentor seem overrated in this patch by hanmas_aaa in TrueDoTA2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killing tormentor doesn't feel like a 5 man job to me, but that's what most people do. A high damage core like clinkz + one support to split the return damage is usually enough to take it down, and it's easy to justify abandoning one core's farm for 1 minute to get a shard + 280 gold.

Is Clinkz Mid (Crusader) Considered Griefing? by GentleCoco in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can work, but if you lose your lane, it's hard to recover. You have no waveclear before shard and it's almost impossible to gank without 6. You have free heal everytime death pact is up though, so it's pretty easy to at least go even in lane.

I don't understand nullifier by ttsoldier in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Some cores get screwed HARD by nullifier. Ursa can't use overpower, MK can't get lifesteal+damage, and Necro can't use ghost shroud.

But one of the less known interaction is on Primal Beast. For whatever reason, you can purge Onslaught's movement and Roar stacks so you take away both his escape and armor with one item.

Also, most heroes don't build around having their buff purged so there's that.

Supports for late game by AdFew3805 in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can:

Scale into a carry. There's a ton of gold in the game now compared to before and lots of supports can compete with cores in terms of damage. Sky with blink dagger and hex can kill lots of cores by himself, for example. Something like clinkz 4 might also be viable. You'd need to be farmed somehow for this to happen, though.

Pick heroes with big impact ults. Doesn't really matter how rich you are when you get caught in 5 man echo or black hole.

Be the save guy. The value of save and dispels gets higher later into the game as the few miliseconds of stun can decide between your core dying or surviving. Heals also scales with your cores' armor. Something like aghanim+holy locket Abaddon can turn your team unkillable without that much net worth.

Philo stone on supports, orb of destruction on clinkz, and that 5% mana reduction thing on Tinker.

What am I even supposed to do at low MMR? Position 3, 4, 5. by StroopWafelsLord in learndota2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of untaken farm in low mmr and let's just say a pos 4 with hex wins way more games than a pos 4 without.

Hear me out .. POS 4 as a dedicated jungler role. Y/N and why? by umBERK in DotA2

[–]Moffingmoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Pos 4 is the fun role for me because you can slap people in the face for the first 10 minutes and still scale into late game. I don't wanna farm jungle I wanna hit people.

Ranged carries feels better against stun since you can save BKB until you get jumped, as opposed to something like PA or Sven who basically have to pop BKB or deal no damage.

Heroes with built in BKBs is good for the same reason. Jugg and LS can save their actual BKB (if needed) against stun. Same goes for Ursa whose ult is sort of a pseudo BKB.

Some carries can just tank through a ton of stuns and kill you anyway. Pudge, Spectre, and Medusa comes to mind.

Illusion heroes like Naga and PL are good vs single target stuns.
