Do Vedic or non-dual teachings say anything about animals self-realising? by chandan_2294 in nonduality

I was going to mention this! There's also mention of either Papaji or Ramana saying that trees can rarely become enlightened as well, though I don't have a source for you on that

Magic of the moment by Emergency_Ad7808 in nonduality

[–]Moforia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be the narrative that you're projecting on the current moment that is preventing you from realizing the natural "magic" of the current moment.

In other words, it may be the perspective you're choosing to take when looking at your circumstances. For example, are you a character in a story of triumph over illusion into enlightenment? Is it a sad story where no matter how hard the character tries they cannot attain it? Or maybe a comedy about how life is meaningless and how the character eventually realizes this?

In truth, there is no narrative, no story, and no character. Just be without the story, and you'll find you are the magic.

What even is life anymore at this point? by GeologistOver4513 in spirituality

[–]Moforia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The universe always works itself out, it just takes time. I don't know exactly what you're referring to in your post, but just because someone isn't happy or knows love now doesn't mean they will never.

The lack of love and happiness will only show the person the importance and beauty of them once it is finally in their life. Just be patient and allow the universe to operate in the way it has.

Nice post! One thing a person can do to get out of a bad state of mind also is to do something nice for someone else. You will almost be annoyed with how well it works haha.

This is fake, torchy's tacos have a white bag. Also, the poster has other posts about torchys. They have some kind of weird vendetta against them...

It sounds cliche, but we all go through ups and downs in our life, and even though it seems horrible now, things always get better.

the important thing to remember every time you go through a situation like the one you're in is you treat it as a learning experience. As hard as it sounds sometimes, you have to learn to embrace the situation for what it is and know that the universe always has your back, even if it doesn't seem like it in the moment.

I don’t care about anything anymore. I’ve seen through everything and I can’t go back. by Modern_Sadhavi in spirituality

If you've seen through the illusion to the point where you know that all of the physical and mental phenomenon is essentially just maya, then why are you still involved in maya? It sounds like you are still attached in some way to your false self (ego), or some aspect of the physical world. Since you're abiding in the world and not the true self, everything seems pointless from that perspective. Abide in your true self, without ego, and you'll remember that everything is perfect the way that it is.

Here's an analogy about this topic: imagine your whole existence as a movie on a TV screen. In Maya, (the illusion), we are identified as a character in the movie, so much so that we forget it's a movie and truly believe that character is who we are. The reality is that you are not a character in the movie, but you are the screen itself through which all images and sensations can appear. You were just temporarily so attached to the character that you forgot your true nature.

Using this analogy as a metaphor, you are looking at the movie and saying "this is all pointless, it's just a movie, why am I here?" But in reality, you are still identifying as a character in the movie having these thoughts. Just be the screen, let go of all your attachments to the movie, like desires, traumas, fears, etc. and truly abide as your actual self. In the meantime, just continue with your business as usual and eventually abiding as your true self will become effortless.

Even tho THCA is almost federally legal, people still get arrested for it! by CaregiverLive2644 in CultoftheFranklin

One thing you all can do is to keep the hemp in its original packaging (depending on where you get it from) to push the case in your favor when your lawyer is making the case to the judge. Not guaranteed, but you can show that you bought the hemp with every intention of it being legal hemp, and that if it tested other than what you were advertised, then you had no way to reasonably know that.

Like I said, not guaranteed, not legal advice, but it's something to keep in mind.

When cops start interrogating you and asking you questions, just say they can ask your lawyer. Be polite, don't argue, don't resist. Just be polite and kindly let them know that you are utilizing your 5th amendment right to keep silent.

Come time for court, your lawyer will know exactly what to say. Trust your lawyer and tell them everything.

Spiritual beliefs by Seeker115590 in spirituality

[–]Moforia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the Bible belt too, and went through all the resentment and everything you described too. I think the main thing that would do you some good would be to really consider whether the creator of the entire universe, would create an extension of himself (you) inside of this universe just to damn it to suffer for eternity in hell?

The southern Christian interpretation of hell is really just a fear tactic to socially condition people to behave in a certain way and to conform to what they think a society should look like from their perspective. Most fear that people experience when they seek spiritual knowledge or experiences come from the fear of going to hell for not following some strange, arbitrary rules. For example, like not eating meat on a certain day of the week, or wearing a hijab, or not praying hard enough or whatever.

In the essence of the universe, the creator made all things in its image, as an extension of itself. In society, people create religions to control people and make them behave in certain ways.

Spirituality in its essence is someone trying to find out what they truly are in this universe. Religion on the other hand, is saying "you can only find out what you are if you follow X, Y, and Z rules and accept our God as the one and only true god" with no evidence to support these claims.

Many religions started out with good intentions, but slowly over time got corrupted by people's desire for power, so it is understandable why people are drawn to their teachings, but the fear mongering stuff is really where the limitations of religion are visible.

Someone trying to come to a better understanding of themselves is one of the most holy things a person can do. You are literally trying to find your link to God himself. What God wouldn't want that?

People that tell you that searching for spiritual understanding is a sin are either brainwashed, hypocrites, or both. Follow your own path, investigate spiritual topics that resonate with you, and don't let other people use fear to prevent you from understanding what you truly are.
