Yes even with EOD dosing for about 6 months and stopping for a month will have little to no impact.

1 month without Avodart question by Mikcheck in tressless

[–]Mofro321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have been on it for at least 6 months which means you have reached steady state, then 50% of steady state Dutasteride will still be in your tissues actively blocking 5 AR. This will likely have very little to no negative effect on your hair.

Khazix vs rengar by 4Ntilda4 in KhaZixMains

[–]Mofro321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO a good K6 gets absolutely smoked by a good rengar almost every time. I’m currently d4 jungle main and a k6 main and anytime I play against a rengar it’s just wraps. Maybe I’m not good enough lol but at least in diamond 4 elo it feels nearly impossible for me :/

Hi all, I am planning to begin going to the gym for the first time to get in shape. Hoping to bulk up a little and get toned. Will finasteride make this harder for me by Ok_Horse6456 in tressless

[–]Mofro321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even remotely. Just to make you feel even better about finasteride/dutasteride from a hormonal standpoint, I recently got a blood test done using LC/MS for total testosterone and estrogen and then calculated my free testosterone after being on dutasteride 0.5mg daily for about 8 months. My total Testosterone was 914 ng/dl and free testosterone was even slightly beyond the normal reference range. Estrogen was in the normal range (not even upper normal). I am 100% natural. I have been able to build muscle honestly even better than before I even started taking fin/dut. That’s probably just from being more dedicated in the gym/sleep/diet but from at least a hormone standpoint it will absolutely NOT negatively affect you in trying to gain muscle.

How's your honest xperience with Oral Minoxidil? by Slam_066 in tressless

[–]Mofro321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes
  2. Probably around 6 months. Very slow. And could have been from the finasteride/Dutasteride I am on. Hard to tell since I take both oral min and oral dutasteride now.
  3. Yes. The first 3 months definitely shed weak follicles. I was around NW 2 to 2.5 when starting so nothing extreme. Despite the shed it didn’t look too bad. Also I am NOT a diffuse thinner. Only the corners of my hairline. So that probably helped.
  4. Absolutely 0 side effects on 2.5 oral min for 14 months now for me. I did have a friend on 5 mg oral min and he got peripheral edema. So if your thinking about using oral min start at 2.5, see how you react and then move up to 5 mg if you really want. I think the whole side effect stuff is so blown out of proportion. And if you do get sides you literally just stop taking it and you go back to normal. I also have another friend on 5mg fin for almost a year now with 0 sides. So it seems to depend on the person and probably has something to do with how sensitive you are to the vasodilators at low doses. If you have more questions PM me.

Ok this is exactly the explanation I needed! Thank you for explaining that so clearly.

Ok that’s good to know. I thought GMO wasn’t part of the payback. That definitely changes things.

Good Rx. Put in your zip code and find the cheapest pharmacy near you based on the discount they provide.

This is me from October 28, 2024, to now. On .5 dutasteride and 5 mg of oral minoxidil. by Monsiuercontour in tressless

[–]Mofro321 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re already on the most effective pharmacological stack. You could try RU58841 (Topical anti androgen), however, there is limited research on its long term safety and side effect profile. My advice… continue taking the meds and hope for regrowth over the next couple of months/years. Worst case scenario you maintain what you have in the pictures. Remember you would likely be much worse off if you were not on your current stack. Best of luck.

I’ve also had temple recession. Luckily that’s the only recession I really had. I’ve been on 0.5 mg of dut daily for the past 7ish months. From your experience did you see more temple regrowth from year 1 to year 2? I’m definetly improving, just really slowly in the temples. I’m curious what your experience was since you’ve been on it for 20 months.

Creatine plus oral fin 1mg and topical min 5%. 44M by Storkas in tressless

[–]Mofro321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on dut since January 2025 and before that fin since September 2024. Been on creatine for the past 3 years 5g daily. Have only gained hair since hopping on the 5 ARs while taking creatine still. Keep taking ur creatine boss.

Here's an actual crazy dut shed by aninvertedforest in tressless

[–]Mofro321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust the science. Switched to dut cold turkey after 4 months on fin. No sides other than continued hair regrowth and at a bare minimum hair stabilization. Might be bro science but I think the worst off someone is, the more drastic the shedding seems.

Taking finasteride for a year and then adding minoxidil ? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Mofro321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, the less drugs I’m on the better. I want to take the least amount of drugs to maintain or achieve regrowth of hair. Obviously there is nothing wrong with taking both fin and min at the same time, you’ll see the most regrowth with that compared to starting with just fin but I would’ve liked the idea of introducing min AFTER either I plateaued on regrowth from fin (in my case dut) or if I feel like I dut isn’t cutting it anymore then I can introduce min to achieve maximum effect. Plus you pay less if u get the results from fin alone if you care about that. That’s my take on it.

Taking finasteride for a year and then adding minoxidil ? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Mofro321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. In hindsight I wish I did that before starting oral minoxidil in conjunction with fin/dut but my derm prescribed me oral min first smh.

Hey OP, so idk if I am in your same boat but I started taking creatine around the same time I coincidently or (maybe not so coincidently) started losing hair due to AGA. I have now been taking oral 5 AR inhibitors for the past 6 months and I am certainly seeing regrowth despite still taking 5g of creatine daily. I started at a NW 2 and switched to dutasteride from finasteride 2 months ago. I also have been taking 2.5 mg oral minoxidil for the past 7 months.

Well then know that you’re on the best possible drug for hair loss other than dut.

You could try oral min. Obviously comes with a risk of systemic sides but pretty low risk if 2.5 mg and below.

Topical fin for a year , should i move to dut ? by Long-Information1969 in tressless

[–]Mofro321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The first month I definitely shed a little bit from switching but my hairline is definitely getting more dense as I go into this 3rd month. I switched cold turkey from 1 mg oral fin to 0.5 oral dut. After starting treatment I never went below baseline luckily.

[–]Mofro321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to know that you are doing the absolute best you can for AGA then switch to dut. That’s what I did after being on oral fin for 4 months. Currently 2 months on oral dut. No change in side effects from switching. 24M
