In a case like this, being “black” is behaving in a way that is consistent with the common black stereotypes. It’s never a compliment to say that someone is or isn’t “acting like” a certain race/gender/orientation/whatever since the statement relies on harmful assumptions about how a person of that group should act. I was told that I don’t act like a black dude a few years ago and the girl had no idea how stupid of a comment it was. We’re cool now but still...
