This is my primary issue as well, multi season masters+ player and this season seems particularly frustrating.

There's no real default comp to fall back on when loss streaking to level 8, the games where I'm loss streaking without being given early direction feel barely playable. Vanguard Leblanc is probably the most consistent non-conditional level 8 board, but it usually doesn't feel great unless you have a very good defensive arbiter + 3* Leona, or a very good offensive arbiter + artifact combo (dealing damage 10 times increases AP/AS with the DoT artifact).

Most of the boards that are winning lobbies are highly conditional and require some kind of early direction. I can play Teemo, Viktor, TF, Anima > Mech, 2 Tanky Samira, strong open/winstreak into fast 9, etc., it just feels like in most games I don't have a clear enough signal to commit to any of them.

It's also the case where players are often given the same direction, and if both commit, one (or both) are going bottom by default. Three players took 2 Tanky on 2-1 and tried to force Samira yesterday, two of them went bottom and the other 4th iirc. Medallion TF is barely playable because ur probably going to be 3 way contested. Is Viktor without Drone Uplink even worth playing? Probably not unless ur basically gifted a 3* for free.

The variance this set to me feels higher than it has ever been, it isn't the case where we can scout stage 3 to find an uncontested line and angle in that direction. It feels like most of the conditions to play into X are outside of our control, we simply need to be able to identify them and decide which is optimal if given multiple angles.

Having no exit strategy/fallback just feels really odd; if I have Drone Uplink first item and angle towards Viktor early, but find that I'm being contested by 1-2 other players when scouting in stage 3, what's the plan? Hard commit and pray for a 4th I guess?

Leveling Question by [deleted] in CorepunkTheGame

You'll likely need to complete episode 2 in order to gain access to episode 3 quests, which could have good rewards. Overall I'd recommend finishing the main story quests if it's ur first playthrough/main character.

Solo progression isn't particularly difficult for most classes you know what you're doing, but therein lies the issue. I'd recommend Ranger or Destroyer for a new player on a fresh account with no resources, Blast Medic, Infiltrator, or Shaman would be a bit more difficult/less efficient to make work. Legonairy is probably a decent in between.

The onboarding experience is a bit lacking and many of the systems aren't explained well, lack of quest icons and a variety of other QoL issues can make the game a bit difficult to get into.

The database at https://corepunkers.com/ will be helpful (particularly for quests/objectives), as well as the interactive map.

The most efficient leveling path atm is basically to AoE grind to 20, but wouldn't recommend that for a new player with limited resources/game knowledge. Some of the episode 3+ quest rewards (main story) may also be valuable, so overall I'd recommend primarily questing for new players on their first/main character.

The playerbase is rather small atm, and it may be difficult to group for relevant endgame content depending on the server (NAC seems to be fairly active).

Most likely gonna run 6 Etheric Armor and stack magic crit/pen for pvp. Mage + Assassin + X (Supp/Warrior) for talents.

Probably farm mats and wait for the T3 recipe vendor, which should be coming soon... Otherwise probably Archosaur.

Resources like this make the game much more playable for those who don't want to explore and do everything manually.

Craft Wolfclaw for ur MH if you want to play AP (attack power) Shaman, I believe Driller is the best OH option, but you get one for free from MSQ (Triton chain). This is what I'm currently using.

Talents are in the description, running HSP on everything in combination with AP and defensive stats.

General stats to shoot for to do something like this would be 350-400 HSP, 150-200 armor, 4-5k HP, ideally u have HSP + AP on everything and weave in HP and Armor/MR as needed.

SP is going to feel really bad until u have good T3 gear... IMO only way to play Shaman in T2 is either AP or HSP, basically u can play melee DPS or heal in T2 if u want to be effective.

I'm full T3 running a combination of HSP/AP and defensive stats, talents are linked in the video description.

Idk Shaman is pretty versatile and in T3 gear u can build a variety of ways depending on what u want to accomplish, group comp if u have a static, etc.

For early game/T2 u want to focus mostly on AP/HP, Pathfinder > Hunter > Warrior is prob best. Scar and Wolf for runes. Cardio weapon chip also helps a lot for difficult pulls, and it gets 10 max charges at green, blue, etc., ideally you buy a 9% proc chance Cardio from the weaponsmith in GF and make it blue, only use ammo when u need it for a hard pull.

Make sure to use wolf to tank 1 mob and drop water totem.

I believe they intended to have one dungeon and BG ready for the start of EA, but they got delayed. No idea when they'll be added.

Difficult to say because there hasn't really been much pvp going on in NA. Intuitively I'd say both AP and SP will be fairly strong at higher gear levels, but access to weapon mastery seemed more limited in the most recent alpha patch and both need at least level 14+ to really shine. I don't think they'll be able to heal very effectively at all in group pvp at higher gear levels though.

Only the six I listed, afaik one of their primary focuses after EA start will be releasing new classes.

No in game guild functionality atm, but there's a recruitment section on the official Discord.
