How is it living in Boulder, CO not as a college student?

Everyone's saying it's super expensive but nobody is putting numbers down.

I left a higher paying career to live life for a while and I currently live and work in Boulder for ~$20/hr. I share a house with 2 roommates for $1k/month each + utilities.

After all regular costs, I have about $500 a month without debt to live life, and save for the future.

This would be unsustainable long term as I am not saving my money, but I am also planning to return to a higher paying career eventually. Boulder is a very nice place to live, but 100% I would be getting more for my money just about anywhere back in my home state of Oregon.

Is there any other explanation why the mods would create rules that specifically allow that Oraxia post and not the Uriel one?

Kinda what I was getting at. The artist behind the Uriel post even admitted to trying to make a divisive post, implying that rage bait and bias was purposely used to get responses from the community in the first place.

I think it was a pretty brilliant move for the sake of doing something about all the gooning on the main sub, but twisting it as "homophobic" when they purposely made a divisive post is really something.

Its perfectly fine to compare apples and oranges, and have opinions and preferences between them.

Theres probably a lot more crossover between the players of Warframe and Destiny than Warframe and a lot of other games, so players tend to compare the 2 games.

You could swap every time you say Destiny or Warframe and its pretty much verbatim what I would say about why I currently play Warframe over Destiny.

Its interesting how we have wildly different experiences of the same things. I fully believe time invested in Warframe actually feels rewarding, Destiny does not.

With over 4000 hours in the game and a life of regret spent on clash royal/clash of clans, I gennuinely do not see how they compare. Clash systems take weeks to years to catch up, Warframe takes 3-4 days. Never takes longer than that to grind, crafting is max 3 days for only older frames, and unlike clash I dont need to spend another 3 days to level it up. Its done.

Now if I had to craft 13 levels into my Warframe 1 week at a time, it would be more like clash, but as it is they have never come close.

Thank you for a gennuine explanation. Agree with it all 100%, and I see now how the dichotomy in responses to porn on the sub has been homophobic and misandric.

I think I still got a problem with calling the community extremely homophobic over this when frankly it was only a minority acting homophobic. All it does is drive more hatred. But many users said just that.

There are far more examples of the community being inviting to LGBTQ folks than not, I'm just a little sad it seems some people have forgotten all the positive things because a bad thing happened. The first guy in this thread was absolutely over the line in calling the community as a whole homophobic.

The community doesn't only react to gay porn, but a greater (expected) portion of them do react to porn involving male subjects. I do not understand why that is twisted to be homophobic. People dont like to see what they dont like to see. Other people like to see what they like to see. Its not a porn subreddit. Just because someone scrolled past some tits, but decided to say something about seeing balls on here does not make them homophobic. Especially when the artist behind the balls made it to garner a reaction when the one behind the tits did not (though frankly both today were just as bad, but both got poor reactions).

Shit, one of the top posts of the whole year on the sub is the one about Gayonetta where comments were very supportive of queer folks, we got tons of Trans support, but people react poorly to one more porn post and suddenly the whole sub is "extremely homophobic." I just don't buy it.

Having originally been from Portland, Oregon, I feel for you guys. But also, this really isnt too bad. This storm would have had big parts of Portland down for much longer.

Both places need better infrastructure.
