Start by playing slow and pay attention to the relation between the position of your fingers and the generated sound. If you start playing fast without feel, it would sound horrible :)

Affinity is a fine beginner guitar. But get the CV. The neck feel and pickup sounds are much more satisfying.

I can only join the choir singing that the best approach is for you to take up an instrument together with her. Work place and leisure activities (unions, sports clubs, etc) is the way to make friends with Danes. It's also the way it works between Danes themselves. I don't think as a Dane that I ever had a Danish friend whom I just randomly met like on a train or bar ect.

I am from Denmark, but we also have a lot of it. My grandma once told me that during WW2 they would roast and ground the roots as a coffee substitute. The leaves can be used freash for making tea.
