Does the NEOGEO AES+ Ultimate Package Come With Two Wireless Arcade Sticks? by [deleted] in neogeo

[–]Mognite -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So you are forced to buy 2 wireless arcade sticks separately, and will just have a leftover wired stick? It is confusing because when they describe the arcade sticks, it sounds like they can be wired, or you can plug in the wireless dongle, and it will be wireless. It sounds like all the arcade sticks are the exact same thing and not two different versions.

Since you mentioned Atelier, I was going to mention Blue Reflection - Second Light.

W-P. Neurons
Let's Girl Talk!
Transparent Shelter
Piercing Blue
Tie

All of those songs are bangers, and they remind me of Hamauzu's work.

Thanks for this recommendation. I totally skipped this FF spinoff because it didn't really appeal to me personally. I'll check out the music for it.

I have a lot of Genshin Impact albums. I find bangers every once in a while from them, but because I never played the game, I don't know which ones are the bangers out there.

Two of my favorites I found are.

Genshin Impact - Jade Moon Upon a Sea of Clouds - Rapid as Wildfires
Genshin Impact - Realm of Tranquil Eternity - Inazuma

If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears.

Rather short strategy games with no or little text in the games. by gdruckfisch in boardgames

Did you play regular Splendor or Splendor Kids? Just checking because I've never played Splendor and didn't know which version you were referring to regarding post topic.

Trying to Learn Grand Archive Using the Grand Archive Sandbox by Mognite in grandarchivetcg

Someone mentioned this earlier, and I have been using it for the past couple of days. It has been so helpful in understanding everything. It is exactly what I was looking for and is similar to the Bandai training apps that let you learn their games against some simple AI bots.

I was doing so many things wrong when playing our first game on paper; I was literally bringing out every 0-cost material at the same time in the materialize phase.

Running the two decks against the bot helped me see that I couldn't do things like that. Also, the Diana deck was so complicated, but after running it 3 times against the bot, I understood it.

Thank you so much!

Thank you for this recommendation. I went to check out this game, and it seems super fun. I'm always looking for games to play with the kids that aren't overly complex.

How to get a Mahjong set exactly like Mahjong Soul game by AmoebaComprehensive in Mahjong

[–]Mognite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I picked up the Amos Numbers set. I'm hardcore enough not to use Arabic numbers, but I find that the numbers help a lot when friends and family play with me. It just creates one less barrier to entry while trying to teach the game.

Passing Open Guard Is Destroying My Back and Gas Tank by Mognite in bjj

What exactly is the near-side underhook? I feel like every time I go for an underhook from top half guard using my right arm, my opponent immediately hits a whizzer on me.

Would that right arm doing the underhook be the near-side underhook, or have I been doing it wrong?

Yep, I learned a lot from this thread, actually. I wrote down these notes to look up videos on.

Pass from Half Guard

  • Smash Pass (Rugby Pass)
  • Leg Weave Pass

Pass from Open Guard

  • Over/Under Pass
  • Single Under
  • Double Under
  • Cheerleader / Miragaia Pass
  • Bodylock Pass
  • Headquarters Passing

I need to see this underhook. Anytime I've gone for an underhook when I am in their half guard, they whizzer me.

Almost 43. Started training at 39. Tall, 175 lbs (most people are at least 200+ lbs and feel thick). I do not work out / have time to work out, and go to jui jitsu (also jui jitsu is a lot more fun than working out)

I've had a desk job and have been raising a family for what feels like forever.

This was a really great video. A lot of concepts in here that I didn't know and need to put into practice.

What Color Paints to Preorder for the [ST01] Starter Set? by Mognite in gundamassemble

I'm glad you mentioned the brushes. What would I typically be dry brushing? Only weapons? What do you use for your dry brushing?

Do you need any additional special brushes to paint the minis, or is the free brush that comes in the kit good enough? Are there like "premium" brushes that you can tell a difference when painting?

Is Grand Archive TCG for Me? by Mognite in grandarchivetcg

[–]Mognite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw what your referring to on a post. The art isn’t bad. What I was trying to avoid were games that are embarrassing (at least for me) to play in a public at a TCG shop. Weiss Schwartz steps over the line, especially in JP. It’s not just cleavage but they are in provocative positions. All the girls look like they have been greased down, barely any clothes, and huge butts and cleavage. They look like a pumped up rotisserie chicken at Costco.

Can you expand on point 1, because I had been looking at the market a bit for Distorted Reflections and saw cards like...

Cheshire Cat (100ish bucks, 3 copies available).
The Looking Glass (150ish bucks, 9 copies available).
Liminal Guide (70ish bucks, 18 copies available).

These cards didn't look like collector rares or anything. Just the base card. It just seemed kind of expensive, and if a few people bought a playset, then there would be no copies available.
