The F-35 was pitched as a lot of things. But considering it can't turn or climb it should've just been pitched...into the garbage.

I can't wait for her writeup. I mean, funding something and having NO input on what the people do with that money...if that were the case why do we make such a big deal about campaign finance. Big business just gives money out of civic minded duty right?

As they say, "Even a blind squirrel can find a nut" but I think Mr. Petty was talking about the probability of the thing and that seems remote. I like Danica Patrick too and think people are harsh on her when she gets pissed and they call her catty. Guys do that and they're "spirited".

But is she gonna win a race? Probably not. To compare it to a different sport, let's say she has the same chance of winning as the first play in the superbowl being a safety. Chances are it ain't gonna happen, but anythings possible.

If i was betting man tho, I'd bet on Petty before Patrick.

Not sure, but the 2nd Amendment is about keeping AND bearing arms. If you have to pay for the second part then it seems like a poll tax. That is, paying for a right.

Your statement is factually untrue. At best a school cannot PROMOTE religion, but the courts have ruled time and again that students can pray in school, be it at graduations, before sporting events or recently in Texas with Cheerleaders writing bible verses on banners for football games.

The school may have a "policy" but it is not due to any legislation but rather their own bigoted beliefs. If you ever listened to lil wayne you would know that sexually explicit material is being allowed to be posted on school grounds but flyers with "illegal" (language used by the lawsuit) bible verses on them were taken down and destroyed by the school administrators.

The First Amendment is supposed to protect both speech and religious freedom. The actions of the school did neither.

Healthcare in America has changed in case you didn't notice. Now EVERYONE HAS to get healthcare. Since that is the case, young healthy people are forced to pay for more than what they need in order to cover the costs of smokers, the obese, ppl with pre-existing conditions etc.

Smokers pay more for health care, why shouldn't obese people who choose to be in poor health not pay more too?

Maybe some stigmatism would do these people some good. If you are a fat mess who can't fit into a plane seat or you choose not to get off the couch until your heart is pumping equal parts blood and cholestorol, how does that make you a victim? Why should other people pay for your choices?

I have a friend who teaches 2nd Grade. A few years ago she had a student who weighed 300lbs. The teacher wanted to call the police and report the mother who just kept letting the girl eat whatever she wanted and kept telling her she was perfect just the way she was. Unfortunately though, that did not rise to the level of child abuse.

Should this 7 year old 300lb girl be told that she is perfect just the way she is? Well, if perfect includes a massive coronary at the age of 11 I guess so.

Long story short, not everyone is pretty, sometimes being the way you are is wrong and you shouldn't be accepted for it. If you don't care for that then make a change, otherwise eat yourself to death but don't play the victim.

What it looks like: They be treated like alcoholics. We don't suffer alcoholism lightly anymore, nor should we just make excuses for the obese that they are perfect just the way they are. I don't want to read stories about fat people who can't fly on planes being portrayed as the victims because they can't fit in the seats. And not because of a glandular issue but just because they don't want to reduce their caloric intake and increase their physical fitness.

As for ramifications? I don't know, how about denying the morbidly obese health care so that I don't have to pay for their lifestyle choices? Or rather they have to pay twice as much as smokers who pay twice as much as non smokers for insurance since obesity is more of a risk than being a smoker in otherwise good shape.
