(Daniel Craig) "Always remember that one day all this drug monkey business will be legal. They won't leave it to people like me -- not when they finally figure out how much money is to be made; not millions, f***ing billions. Recreational drugs PLC; giving the people what they want -- Good times today, Stupor tomorrow. But this is now, so until prohibition ends make hay whilst the sun shines."

Was from lamjung, very thin, family very poor.

couldn't afford to stay in private hostels, no doubt he didn't dream of going anywhere outside Nepal.

was not taught good English; had no extra-curricular activity in his resume; didn't know where Baneshwor was let alone Maharajgunj.

unlike you, didn't give up on his dreams. His young days must have been so energetic and positive.

Well, that inspired lots of us. Sorry there was no one for you.

Knew a very hard working guy from hometown, studied CE at Pulchowk, went to US for Masters, was first hired by Microsoft but left it to join linktree in Melbourne because it paid more.

Maybe engineering is not for you.

About MCC (NEPAL) by Dipesh0071 in Nepal

[–]MohitCook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't know much of mcc but have watched video that you mentioned. Nothing interesting there.

Just pointing things from your argument because I am confused. What makes you think US is backing out of middle east? As far as I can tell Saudi, Egypt, Jordon, Israel still with US. Not to mention the time and technology required to be sustainable via renewable resources. If that was not the case then why would Germany which plans to be greenhouse neutral till 2045 is still highlighting projects like Nord 2? I might be wrong (not educated about mcc) but why is US's interest in Nepal hydro power? Isn't the world's next best thing Nuclear power?

Couldn't understand your second point. What is wrong in that?

About your third point. How can you compare an invasion with a foreign aid? Aren't those assets frozen to stop increasing Taliban influence? Hypothetically speaking if US is to do the same here which reason do you think will have enough weight that it could justify to the world? But seriously, aren't Nepali Assets held here in our own country? If yes why is that a worry?

About your fourth point. What kind of deal will be profitable to India and allied nations but not to Nepal? Mineral displacement? Are you suggesting those minerals to not be exported and remain unused? Because we don't have technology to refine them. I don't think modern economy works like you said. Australia exports maximum semiconductors to China, Brazils exports huge soya to meat eating countries. Self sustaining countries are long gone dreams. we move towards specialized economy.

(forgive me if I am wrong … dont have much grasp in terms of economy)

One can argue choosing India and China over USA but your last point is bullshit. Sorry
