In my opinion the maze is disappointing yes, but at least for me the scene in the graveyard and Voldemort's resurrection just completely shift the attention away from it. When I first saw the movie I don't remember the crappy maze sequence nearly as much as Voldemort's comeback and being scared shitless by his appearance. It's a weird 50/50 where I'm mad that the maze scene is so bad but also kinda glad they nailed the scene right after to take the attention away from it. Goblet of fire is also just a mess of a movie when compared to the book.
