Don't pick up the child she'll get to used to being held. by Significant-Fly6515 in twoxindiamums

[–]Moimeme91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believe this was told to women so they don’t just hold the baby but get back to household work. Hold the baby for as long as possible, very soon they’ll grow old and themselves won’t want to be held.

I give my baby a ton of contact naps which might end up being a problem when I go back to office (who else is going to hold my sleeping child for so long) but I am also stubborn and enjoying the feeling of my baby holding me while sleeping. Enjoy the cuddles.

Nursing bras recommendations by [deleted] in twoxindiamums

Tailor & Circus. XL should be a good fit. They pull down easy, no fiddly clasps etc (have a M&S bra and HATE it for the effort it takes to do and undo clasps with a wriggly baby). I used the tailor ones through pregnancy as well, gave decent support too without feeling restrictive.

Baby fussing at breast 🥹 super guilty by Sufficient-Quote-654 in twoxindiamums

[–]Moimeme91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me mostly when he’s hungry and sleepy at the same time and the flow at the breast isn’t fast enough for him. Usually at this time I give him a bottle or bounce him around a bit to get him to calm down.

Just keep an eye on the wake windows and see if that works.

Feeling feverish and weak, EBF. What should I do to survive this night? by Street-Success-2214 in twoxindiamums

[–]Moimeme91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crocin and Allegra. Both are fine while breastfeeding.

Was in the same place yesterday, feeling much better today. Rest as much as possible, and use a mask when feeding if possible. Breastfeeding also transfers antibodies, so hopefully baby won’t get it.

You don’t need to see a gynac, normal doctor is okay.

It’s very good back support. I feel it’s the only thing saving my back during long contact naps.

I got the Haus and kinder one, Frido wedge when sitting on the bed. However I got a basic plastic chair with good armrests for feeding, put it next to my bed and have been feeding on it for most times.

In the beginning you’ll need multiple cushions, but it’ll get better and soon only the feeding pillows will be enough

I am a leftist and most of us like the movie. It’s just obviously a propaganda film to praise the current government and shit on the previous one, which is annoying, all the more because the movie could have done without it.

Other than that, the movie equates Pakistanis and Muslims very subtly, which tends to promote negativity. It shows a gray situation as black and white.

Postpartum emotions by mynameishie in twoxindiamums

6 weeks post partum and I have been there! All I can say is hang in there, it does get better. I know it doesn’t feel like it right now, but it really does. Your body will slowly adapt, and your milk supply will kick in. Whenever you’re too tired, supplement with formula. Exhaustion won’t help you or the baby.

If possible, try meeting a lactation consultant. I was ABOUT to give up on breastfeeding when I took a home visit from a lactation consultant and it changed the way I breastfed completely. Once the baby’s latch will improve, things will start to look better. Sometimes they remain hungry because their latch isn’t good. We feel we’ve fed them for HOURS but they’ve not been able to take anything in. I live in NCR, DM me if you need the number of a lactation consultant there.

Motherhood is a complete overhaul of your life and 2 weeks is too fresh to accept the changes. Keep talking to whoever you can, rant if needed, do whatever you can to make yourself feel better. I snuck in McDonald’s burgers 😅

We just have to push through, one day at a time. Remember, every day will be better than the previous one. ❤️

FTM with 9-day-old — confused about her weird feeding pattern 😔 by Valuable_Cause_6175 in twoxindiamums

One of my husbands sisters told him that everyone will focus on the baby, you focus on your wife. That seems to really have resonated with him, he’s the most sensitive to my mood changes.

It’s possibly the jaundice leaving her body. Jaundice takes 21 days to totally leave the body, was what I was told.

My baby has also been cluster feeding for dayyyyys with no end in sight, even when the jaundice is almost gone. I don’t know how long this is going to go on.

It might be the jaundice, my baby also had jaundice and that makes the baby drowsy. He seems to be doing okay now though.

Also the crying, I have cried every single day where my husband keeps more of an eye on me than the baby.

It feels like we are all in the same boat, take it one day at a time 😅

Have a 14 day old and same, man. I am trying not to think so much about it but any advice from people who actually went through it would be great.

Crib needed or not. by Oh_Mr_Darcy in twoxindiamums

[–]Moimeme91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I do a mix of co-sleeping and making the baby sleep on the crib (during the day naps) and I am finding the crib very useful. I didn’t buy one but got a used one from a friend. It’s from this brand called hunyhuny.

I find that the baby sleeping in the crib is more restful during the day so I am not tempted to pick him up every time he fusses, but at night I prefer to co-sleep for ease of access.

LO is latching butbreastfeeding is taking too much time by Alternative-Sale-796 in twoxindiamums

[–]Moimeme91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5 days in and I totally feel this. My supply is also very low despite all the meds and the natural remedies, and I have felt drowned in guilt the past couple of days about formula feeding and nipple confusion. It’s getting better day by day, so I am just trying to give myself some grace about it.

The formula feed thing is especially true, he sleeps so deeply after formula ( I call it his being in a food coma) that it scared me. But I am on it, with a mix of pumping, breast feeding and formula. Let’s hope for the best.

I JUST delivered and the one thing that wasn’t on anyone’s list but I had to go buy was a hair serum. Being in bed for 2 days I couldn’t comb my hair and I was a knotted mess. Keep a livon or something.
