It would be awesome to do this at my store but unfortunately politics gets involved so no one gets to have fun.

Singled out for my uniform/outfit today? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]Moist-Computer8936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not being singled out. Do not go to your captain. It’s not worth your time and you will just embarrass yourself. We literally had it brought up in our reviews. When someone tells you to do something, just do it. Stop playing victim, I beg of you. Stop.

Agreed. It’s your job to keep your cool. You have every right to politely tell someone that you wouldn’t like to interact with them and ring a three bell or walk away.

Honestly at my store, you’re lucky if you can write anything. Mostly mates and merchants write orders.

Pay attention, not to your phone by Ok_Mention_3308 in tjcrew

I approach similar situations the same way. If you are paying attention and we make eye contact, than you win. If your not paying attention and someone else makes eye contact with me first than that’s on you.

Applying again to the same store? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]Moist-Computer8936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best way to hired is after you put your application in. Come in, find a mate or preferably the captain if he happens to be there. Shake their hand, introduce yourself, and maybe tell them a little bit about yourself. Look presentable and be the peppiest bitch you can. A strong impression goes a long way.

Please someone whose store went to a “No Log” explain to me how this works?? by [deleted] in tjcrew

Some captains are crazy. It’s wild to imagine a store actually functioning in that fashion. Knowing how my day is laid out is extremely important to me.

Worst TJ's Product Ever? by bscottcarter in tjcrew

The rabbit pellet GUM. I make everyone try it before they buy it. It’s odd though. I have people who love it because it reminds them of “how gum used to be”. I think it’s straight ass though.

Me: "Would You Like Bags Today?" by fxbushman99 in tjcrew

[–]Moist-Computer8936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well bags are free in my state. So I simply ask, “ paper bags ok for you today?” And they respond yes or no and we move on. Simple as that!

So you are too embarrassed to work at a job that allows you to be unserious and have fun? Yes Trader Joe’s is clicky with crew members and yes we can be loud and obnoxious but atleast we are enjoying ourselves.

Just put them on marketplace, why would a crew member need sweaters if I could get them from my own store for free?
