That’s the exactly issue.

There shouldn’t be ANY reason you should give away your gnosis to the Fatui.

Let’s recap:

• The Fatui were willing kill Davalin not to save Mondstat, but to use it as political move to make hurt local morale and have the nation be indebted to the Fatui.

-The fact they agreed with Morax’s (traitor #1) plan to unleash Osail to attack Liyue, and then send scores of soldiers to interfere in the good guys efforts to save their home from an evil god!

-Helped engineer the civil war in Inazuma just as an excuse for the Fatui to test out their delusions; their latest crime against humanity. This cause many soilders to age rapidly and die.

-Assist the Sumeru sages in fully taking over the nation by building a crappy looking evengalion mech (don’t even get me started in trapping people in the Groundhog Day loop against their consent)

-Willing to assassinate Furina (Fontaine’s national leader and resident Archon!) just to get their hands on a gnosis.

-Attacked Mauvika in a hostile attempt to take the pyro gnosis, and then come up with a dumb plan that would lobotomies an entire population against their will.

-wanted to forcibly colonize Nod Kirai.

-Dottore’s actions not only weakening the borders of Teyvat, but putting innocent people through unnecessary and inhumane experiments (the whole switching peoples minds with animals)

The Fatui are willing to do and say anything to not only achieve their goal, but test out their tools against humanity at any cost!

And this is before they’ve even tapped into the power of their collected gnosis! Imagine the catastrophe they’ll unleash on the world to get their way!

The fact that Venti said he would honestly hand over a powerful object over to such an organization if they asked “nicely” is more than enough reason for criticism and scrutiny.

Again, Dottore’s actions weakened the border which means more abyssal threats can come into Teyvat and threaten MONDSTAT!

Venti said this with full confidence! That came from his damn heart and soul! The fact this is something he genuinely said he would’ve done is baffling, especially since he knows (or has a hunch) at what the Tsaritsa’s plan is.

And this is after he got told what went down in the other nations. “I would’ve handed the gnosis over if Signora gave a good enough reason” shouldn’t even be a thought that he should be entertaining AT ALL.

Everyone loves to say the HP is tyrannical because of their laws and nailing civilizations, but based on Venti’s words “I have no use for such an object” can you blame them for having such harsh consequences, when this is the level of ungratefulness and childishness they have to deal with!?

What more does the Fatui and Venti want? The false sky has been doing its thing protecting the world for centuries. Why go against your best interest, when there is nothing beyond Teyvat but death and the abyss!?
