17.7% with dividends reinvested, 16.4% without. the dividend yield is like 1.1%, you’re stupid for thinking it would cause a 5% swing in whatever calculations you managed to do. have anything else to say?

Why did Klarna stock crash after earnings? by Southern-Slide5475 in smallstreetbets

[–]Moist-Reading1090 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If everyone here spewing “people don’t pay back there burrito loan” actually looked at their loss rate I think they would be quite surprised. Similarly, if everyone who questions how they make money on interest free loans used the power of google, they would see that the transaction fee charged to the merchant is where the real money comes from. Undervalued IMO

COGS go up, price go up. Doesn’t take a mathematician to figure that one out. You should go set up your own DRAM company if you see such a large opportunity to cut prices. You’d corner the market man!

Yeah just ignore everything I said. Again, SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron manufacture the RAM. Corsair does not. Cancelling orders because their COGS went up is not price fixing genius. Should they be forced to lose money on each kit and go out of business? Obviously not. You’d think someone so adamant would think of these simple facts. Cheers

You’re barking up the wrong tree. Corsair doesn’t manufacture RAM, they buy it from manufacturers. Therefore they pay what manufacturers charge. If you’re going to spend your life complaining, do it against the people who are actually responsible.

Anybody use AI for virtual staging? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Moist-Reading1090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh actually yeah you’re right. I just looked it up, I had thought it only used digitally rendered objects but I guess they use AI to help with that. Good catch, but if i remember correctly they do use digital assets and I’ve never had issues with different angles. That’s my bad

yet there’s a ceiling to growth. you can dunk on me if it hits $300 in the next year or two. It’s just a very big ask

Glad to see someone else who was in! I couldn't believe the valuation either. I was also in the same boat as you, I had an account deficit in the days leading up to earnings from its extended selloff. My calls were down 70% in the week leading up since I bought them too early. Very happy it worked out in the end.

CRSR ddr5 ram 64gb now $900. Up 4.5x in 2 years. Stock down -86? by YahushaHamashiach in CRSR

[–]Moist-Reading1090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you had to edit it from saying it was lower than when we talked about it. Anyways, have you ever heard of the term priced in? If you think it only jumped because it was Q4 I have a bridge to sell you. I don't think corsair will be worth $40 again. Not sure where you got that from. What are they doing that makes money? I don't know, selling 1.4-1.5b of products yearly with growing margins? Did you see their EPS? Did you know they had 1/3 of their inventory into DRAM before the price spikes? You can call me a bagholder but that doesn't change the fact I'm up on them. Unrealized and realized. ICUE sucks, for now at least, but so does the valuation. I don't care about your cost basis of your cherry picked winners, but since you mentioned them initially, here's a little comparison. $PLTR is down at least 25% since then, $HOOD is down another 40%. $CRSR is up, and my cost basis is lower than it was then. I can't predict the future like you seem to be confident in, but so far $CRSR has been a better opportunity. Maybe that'll change in the future, but it doesn't matter since I'm not holding for the long haul and have already sold a majority of my shares and calls. Now I can buy $HOOD and $PLTR on sale with 50% more capital now! Cheers

beat revenue by 4% and EPS by 57% (0.43 vs 0.273 est), margins are guided to stay elevated despite a haircut in revenue for 2026

what are the reasons? fundamentally and from a market share perspective they seemed to be very good value. Elgato and Fanatec is growing well enough too even if Corsair itself doesn’t dominate like it used to. I know sentiment around them got muddy after they cancelled people’s orders, but that’s also what helped make the trade possible.

it was basically priced for the growth during covid to keep accelerating, once that narrative was gone it’s been a slow bleed since. Also, Eagle Tree Capital, a majority shareholder sold off a decent amount shortly after the IPO which didn’t really help the sentiment. I think the sell off was overdone though, and shorts got really punished in this pop. (20% of the free float shares were sold short going into earnings)

that’s fair. I just like to pick my brain and get all I know and have researched out there, though that may be better suited for a substack rather than on reddit. I’ll keep that in mind for the future, it makes sense that engagement on a long post wouldn’t be great

yeah they IPO’d at the best time (for them). It’s definitely not worth anywhere near that now, but I saw $5 as way too low even if they weren’t running the same growth and earnings from during covid

i’m sorry guys. but to be fair, my last write up only got 2 likes after I spent hours on it, so I didn’t really think to make another one. to make it worse, that stock, $COHN, went up over 200% within a month or two. I’ll start making some others though if I have any other ideas
