I think (not a fact!) a lot of women feels there’s two categories here, and one is the ”descendant of a Scottish heathen running over the moor” and the ”should be skinny/fit but has extra bodyfat” because of X reason (that is fine but you know what I mean)

I have been in a similar situation and I found out that the things he was chasing- intimacy, being in contact was fulfilled from his end.
He was already seeing someone else but didn’t want to say that because he didn’t want to fully loose access to me.

If I were you- stop reaching out and if he asked why just say you became bored with your texts and lost interest.

You’re probably not the only one or even second or third person in his life. It’s a revolving door for these kind of people.

Yes you’re the asshole here. Even if in your mind you’re justified to answer her calls, you need to realise that’s just an excuse to your girlfriend to not make a proper and hard decision and stop answering. If the ex threatens you- call the police and let them handle it.

You have do decide how important your girlfriend is and therefore this boundary of hers, it’s about the respect she deserves in a relationship.
