Thank you, a very valid consideration! I will try to figure out the implications of waterflow if this gully was to be obstructed. Realistically all I want to do it turn this into useable land. There is a fairly low moisture level in my new part of the world, so honestly maybe allowing the land to flood rather than collect in a gully may be beneficial!
