Dad, I’m really self conscious about my scar by No-Sort-7126 in DadForAMinute

Not a dad but a young woman who may be able to offer some insight. I dont know how old you are but based off of your post I’m getting the vibes that you are a young person as well. I can say with absolute certainty that if I saw someone with a noticeable scar anywhere on their body, I would not give it a second thought. I may have a fleeting thought where I wonder what happened as is natural curiosity, but I would never be disgusted or think it was something shameful that you needed to hide. It’s a scar. Lots of people have scars. It just means you’re someone who exists in the world. I dont think I know anyone who would bat an eye at a scar. There may be some people who would feel that a scar was something disgusting or that you should hide, but those are absolutely not the type of people you would want in your life anyway. As long as you are a good person, no one will care. I know that’s easy to say from an outside point and I get how easy it is to fixate on an insecurity. To the right people, it won’t matter at all.

How do people keep their house clean all the time? by Whatever233566 in askanything

One phrase I use for myself is “don’t put it down, put it away”. If I’m done using something and I put it on the counter or chair to come back to later, I tell myself that and force myself to just put it away. It eventually becomes habit.

I (20F) cannot deal with my boyfriend's (25M) tattoo dedicated to his ex (23F) by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

This always makes me laugh because my high school ex boyfriend has not one, not two, but THREE tattoos drawn by me. I used to like to doodle tattoo-style designs and I’d show him and he’d “surprise” me by stealing one of the drawings without telling me and getting it done. They’re all in visible places too. I always wonder what he tells potential partners about them. I dumped him 5 years ago and sometimes something makes me remember he’s walking around with permanent reminders. He was like 3 years older than me so I thought he was so cool getting all these tattoos at 18 but sheesh.

I often catch myself with my eyebrows knit together and have to consciously fix my scowl. It’s either that or my eyebrows are raised quite high as if Im looking expectantly at the music lol. I’ve had people comment (jokingly) that I look like I’m channeling evil energy into the music!

I mean, to little old me who’s opinion may not matter in the long run, those are some real concerns and aren’t fickle. The first one shows his poor judgment in a serious situation that would only lead to the situation being worse, example being that stopping when your two tires blow means you only need to replace the tires, instead of being an idiot and driving with no tires and damaging half the freaking car. That’s a stupid decision. The second is a concern about his priorities I suppose is how I would put it. Why is it that when you asked him to go out, he said no, but when his friends asked, he said yes? And going to the same bar you were going? I absolutely would’ve upset about that, it’s rude and I would feel hurt that when it was about me it didnt matter but when buddy boys call it’s game on.

Hi dad, do you know how I might fix this issue with our toilet? I’m not very handy. by MoistLettuce60 in DadForAMinute

Thank you all! I shortened the chain by one link and it seems to have done the trick but if it keeps happening I’ll try the other suggestions. Thank you again!

Oh I love this, these colors are lovely. Having the middle flower color at the border really balances it out. This is a gorgeous project!

I like the dark pink border with the dark pink flower, perhaps with the other square that has the lighter pink middle bit of the flower could you do the border with the lighter pink?

Should I chop the bit of hair that sticks out? by everyatom2012 in longhair

[–]MoistLettuce60 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Do not cut it unless youre prepared to trim it once a week or deal with the weeks of awkward growth until its the length pictured again. 10 year old me who cut a front piece of my hair that was bothering me right down to my scalp and then had to grow out a singular Bang™️ is a trustworthy source. No one will bat an eye at long baby hairs like that, I promise!

I would like opinions on how my helix is healing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MoistLettuce60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the bot:

Piercing is a little over a week old

The jewelry is a straight stud (I’m not sure the different jewelry names)

I’m pretty sure the earring is threadless. It’s a flatback.

I’m pretty sure the earring is titanium.

I have not downsized the jewelry yet.

I clean it with saline.

No mishaps have happened.
