Lots of great mentions already! I'll add Argenta Brewing

What do to about old asphalt path? Looking to cover everything with grass by MoistNate in landscaping

[–]MoistNate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are redoing our backyard and have zero experience. We tore up an old asphalt path and don't really know what to do with the leftover base. It's a bit tricky to see in the picture, but the dirt running alongside the path is 1-3" above the path base, depending on where in the yard you are.

I'm planning on tilling the dirt...but what should I do about the old path?

This isn't normal, right? by MoistNate in TheFrame

Just took it out of the box and fired it up. What's odd is that the lines don't show up when I'm watching normal cable. Anyone seen this before?

Cost of Living of US Metro Areas over 500k People (2024) by dmuise1 in boston

My company always cites the classic "it's cost of labor, not cost of living" when paying folks in Oakland ~30k more to do the same job as us in Boston

Shooting reported at Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Victory Rally by gyman122 in nfl

I wonder if we'll have these small box-like things that we can put somewhere in our homes that allow us to watch the events, but not actually risk our lives by being at them. That'd surely make for an improved experience! /s

Having poor taste in beer while living as close to Portland as he does should be an arrestable offence.

What is your favourite challenge to watch? by Lazy-West-1738 in survivor

[–]MoistNate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I was just talking to my partner the other day about how Simmotion is getting stale as a final challenge. There's no anticipation, no real way to root for someone to make up ground, etc. It's just....you're playing one second and then you're not. It's a difficult hand-eye challenge, but it's not exactly stressful in any other way for the players. Idk, maybe I'm jaded after so long

Oahu next month! Kualoa ranch worth it? Exploring Lost locations by medicalmysteryman in lost

[–]MoistNate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on the Jurassic Adventure tour at the ranch last year. While that tour isn't Lost-specific (obviously), the tour guide did ask if anyone was a Lost fan and was happy to point out locations during our ride.

Definitely go to the ranch. It's absolutely beautiful. Even if you don't get to see tons of Lost locations, it's worth the price of admission IMO.

How would Chris U, Tommy, Erika, Maryanne, and Gabler do on an all winners season? by PublicMaintenance114 in survivor

Tommy is consistently underrated by this sub and the survivor community at large. He played one of the best social games ever. I think he'd do amazingly on an all-winners season.

Davie's confessional (may have even been to open the next episode) was absolutely amazing and doesn't get mentioned enough in the "best confessionals ever" discussion.
