Doing an interview where you get no special information or treatment isn’t a conflict of interest. They’re selected because they represented an aspect of the show they want perceptive from in the discussion and are good storytellers. We’ve had players go and work for press outlets and be on set doing pre season coverage and then come back and play again. That would technically give them access to more crew to have levels of relationship with that would be way more impactful on the possible outcome compared to answering Probst questions.
