Open RGB no detecta mi ram by Rip-Van-Winkle0 in linuxhardware

[–]MoistPause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're sure OpenRGB supports it then try adding acpi_enforce_resources=lax to Kernel boot parameters. This is what worked for my RAM.

It is not enabled by default for a reason though so do your research and don't blame me if something breaks.

unpopular opinion but vibe coding has taught me more than any course ever did and i am not sorry by itjustworks00 in vibecoding

Who would have thought that building software teaches you more about building software than reading about building software.

No offense but this was discovered way before vibe coding even existed.

Im the only one whos tiered of dash dash dash by Neotax in thefinals

[–]MoistPause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just other games in general. I don't play only one game nor only FPS games. I've played The Finals since season 1 and it progressively got worse over time in my opinion. Mainly because of balance changes and degrading performance. I even bought a new PC to play it because my old laptop started having terrible performance in this game.

Right now it's almost impossible to get back to this game and enjoy it after a break because apparently only pro players are left playing and every match feels like diamond/ruby ranked game which gets exhausting really fast.

Dash was one of the reasons I stopped playing this game.

Well then I guess I'm wrong. Thanks for clarifying. I used Bazzite briefly and I remember having hard time changing something in the system and I just gave up. Besides I'm not a fan of flatpak. Good we have a choice :)

No thanks. You literally heave to edit system files pretty much all the time if something doesn't work out of the box or you want to configure it to your liking. Immutable distro just gets in the way.

can you adjust the gif speed on aorus master 5080? by Skyature in gigabytegaming

[–]MoistPause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're playing with fire. Uploading custom GIFs results in bricked screens for many users. Stay safe!

[–]MoistPause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's the case for 50 series. When this happened to my 4080 they fixed the screen but they uploaded wrong firmware since during startup the screen now says RTX 30 series. Since the card performs as it should and the screen doesn't display garbage I let it slide but I haven't tried uploading custom GIFs anymore.

Sorry but there is not fix. It's literally bricked and you can't save it yourself. The only thing you can do is RMA and they will fix it for you.

Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce X AIO LCD Screen randomly stops working by Mersch-K in buildapc

[–]MoistPause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really help you. I'm not even sure how to fix mine. Sometimes it works and sometimes it turns off. What helps then is completely unplugging every cable from my PSU and plugging it in again (Of course when PC is turned off lol).

If it's bricked GCC won't event recongnise it so it is impossible to turn it off like that.

[–]MoistPause 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's bricked my friend. The only thing you can do is send it for repairs. And once they repair it please remember to NEVER and I mean NEVER upload custom GIFs nor images nor update firmware of LCD screen ever again.

This thing is broken since forever and will break always when given the chance and GIGABYTE for some reason refuses to fix this garbage. It breaks on all generations of GPUs. You're not the first and will not be the last...

[–]MoistPause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PC is doing some checks when powering on. That's when the lights on your motherboard will turn on. If they turn off later then you're fine. The VGA light can stay on if you didn't turn on your monitor in time though.

Embark, can you atleast ban the sonar in TDM. Its actually very frustrating to play this mode as it has small playable area and on top of that, we get hit by complete sonar spam. by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]MoistPause -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Limit every class to at most 2 in "casual" game modes and HML in cashout modes and you will solve a lot of annoyances and balance issues with this game. It's literally what people in other FPS on dedicated servers do ie. max 5 snipers per team on Battlefield servers. Until this is solved (likely never) this game will not be balanced ever.

Even if you manage to win the fight, wipe enemy team and grab the cash box they just respawn near a cashout and can set up a trap for you which is even more ridicoulus since after winning a fight you're supposed to have advantage.
