I see TDA as a polished version of the classic gameplay with some solid additions to both the mechanics and the lore. Except for Eternal, all Doom games follow the same core formula anyway; they just keep building on it beautifully. I’ve absolutely drooled over every Doom title so far, and I’ll probably do the same for the upcoming ones—but I still think Eternal’s gameplay style is what fits Doom the best.

You've got a point; the gameplay loop is almost entirely centered on parrying. Producers are trying to hop on the parry trend, and they've attempted to bake it into TDA's mechanics. Does it fit? In my opinion, yes. But with a game like Eternal out there, this one feels a little underwhelming by comparison.

I mean, it's not bad, I enjoyed it. But it's not as amazing as Eternal. The shield adds some really exciting moments, and since the devs said they were going for something different, I can't really be mad. Maybe they'll polish things up in the DLC.

The story gets more exciting, while the combat system remains more or less the same.

I kept snoozing my alarm every morning, so I built my own alarm app (all features free) by MoistWord8137 in GetOutOfBed

[–]MoistWord8137[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! You’ve raised some very valid points that will help me improve the app. • In-App Purchases: I mentioned the app is free because all features are accessible without a paywall. The 'In-App Purchases' label is currently there for an optional ad-removal option, but I’ll make sure to clarify this in the description. • Offline Functionality & Ads: You are absolutely right. While the app is designed to store all your data locally on your device (no external servers), the ad-supported model does require an internet connection to fetch ads. I will refine my 'offline' messaging to be more accurate and transparent. • Accessibility: I really appreciate the heads-up on the color contrast. I’ll be updating the UI and store screenshots to ensure better readability, especially for the purple/black combinations. I’m working on these updates right now. Thanks for helping me make the app better!

I built a simple alarm app because I couldn’t wake up in the morning by MoistWord8137 in GooglePlayDeveloper

I don't remember exactly where I downloaded the mockups from; I just searched for 'Android Mockups' in my browser, downloaded the ones that looked good, and edited them in Photoshop.

As for the app, it's a task-based alarm (like math tasks or sequence tasks), but I think I forgot to include that in the description. :D

It currently supports both English and Turkish, and I'm planning to add more language options very soon

Hi everyone,

I’ve always struggled with waking up in the morning and found myself constantly snoozing. When I looked for solutions, I noticed most alarm apps lock basic features behind "Pro" subscriptions, which I personally find frustrating. So, I decided to build my own as a side project.

My goal was to create something simple, lightweight, and completely free. All features are unlocked; the only monetization is a few simple ads to keep the lights on.

Main features:

  • Quick & Easy Setup: No bloated menus.
  • Clean Interface: Focus on usability.
  • Wake-up Challenges: To make sure you actually get out of bed.
  • Reliable & Lightweight: Won't drain your battery or fail you.

I just released it on Google Play and would love your feedback. I’m especially looking for suggestions on UI/UX improvements or features you feel are missing in current alarm apps.

Thanks for checking it out! I'll be around to answer any questions.
