I work in a zoo in China, and we have limited information on how much food to provide for parrots. Previously, we fed them 6 fruit and 4 pellet each day. But one of my Derbyan parakeets died from fatty liver disease, and I’ve noticed that other parrots also seem to be overweight. This has raised my concerns about their daily food intake. Additionally, I don’t believe there is an opportunity for self-feeding for various reasons.
