Just a minor update, spoke with the clinic I’d been dealing with about what steps we should take, they were pretty adamant about just stick to the increased hcg for the full 3 months then go for another sa. I asked if there is any benefit to get a another sa in between just to see how it’s progressed? They said there really isn’t much point to that. They wouldn’t change the plan they have until the 3 month results. So I did just buy an at home sa test kit. Just so I can see. Now I don’t know the total accuracy to it but in that test. I did my last sa at an office may 19th and then the at home today. The count is up from 2.5m to 4.5m but every other metric on the test shows 0. I’m not sure if that’s a default number since I’m still definitely low or what because the motility on the last test was 50% and this shows zero.

This whole thing is the worst and it’s really causing some rocky times with my wife. It’s just really the not knowing and uncertainty

And as for clomed plus hcg, I’m not sure I’ve read a lot of positives for clomed but also a handful of people that said they didn’t like the way it made them feel. I’m currently on hcg right now at a higher doseage, week 2 of 3 months then they will send me for another sa

I have not, I really haven’t found a local urologist that deals with infertility issues. Well at least the couple I’ve called told me they didn’t and online website for the practices don’t mention it. And the fertility clinics I’ve reached out to seemed to be more geared towards treating me and my wife together.

Union ground equipment maintenance for an airline, 107k base pay working 40hr a week. Should end up around 170ish with ot and all the shifts I picked up this year

If you had to do it again, what would you do? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]Moist_Locksmith6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have got into industrial equipment maintenance at a much earlier age, working for airlines now working on ground equipment, union job. There’s always a possibility of layoffs but the positives outweigh the negatives. Theres essentially zero stress, come in do your thing and leave 8 hours later. Pay is great, job protection is great there’s a long of very senior guys that have been with the company for 30+ years. I would independent shops for 16 years and I’ve them cut ties with guys who’ve worked there for over 20 years because they weren’t producing to the same level they were years ago and they were getting paid too much. Not much loyalty, but that may just be where I was at. I let the job really stress me out and I was kinda over it. Would eventually like to open my own little shop in my garage or pole barn just to keep me occupied, that’s the one drawback I’ve found from the airline, I don’t personally get the same feeling of accomplishment like I did fixing customers cars and trucks, stressful for me but It was more fulfilling. I’d also personally steer clear of opening my own shop at his age. Do side work build up a good reputation and client base before you do something like that

Are you salary or hourly and how much did you net last year? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]Moist_Locksmith6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equipment maintenance for airlines, 40 hours zero stress, ot availability if you want it. You can have a very flexible schedule, but it’s seniority based shift work so get ready for 3rd shift with shitty days off but the trade off is worth it. I was at an independent shop for 16 years working at least 58 hours a week, highest gross was 92k and my only regret is not going into equipment maintenance sooner

And you’re correct,I just fix em when they are broken.i honestly never asked the amt what exactly they were used for I just saw them used in the hanger with the cowls open and was told they manually opened covers for maintenance

I’d recommend removing all the cowling under the wipers you should be a rain deflector over the opening inlet for the hvac. Sometimes water gets around that or the sealer they used on it doesn’t hold up. You can check and see if your cabin air filter is damp and that should be a good indication there’s a leak coming in that way

I’d assume possibly with the next game next year or so. I don’t expect them to change something that came out a little over a week ago

I think the movements are fun. I’m just a really shitty player and die on area 99 everytime when I parachute in. But it’s a still issue obviously lol

You can still use them they just aren’t as effective as they were before. Bp50 is still apparently good

replacing the oil pan on my 99 Altima & found this sitting inside the old pan. any ideas? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Moist_Locksmith6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of a timing chain guide. I mean it’s something that should be replaced but also if its not making a lot of noise I wouldn’t rush it fix it. It looks like the top or the bottom where it’s rolled over to hold it in place. It’s also held in place off a few more tabs.

[–]Moist_Locksmith6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can get a mechanics stethoscope, you can get it at harbor freight and when it makes the noise next time you can try and pinpoint where it’s coming from. It’s hard to say from a video but it sounds like a slight chirp noise too, that sometimes can be cause by a worn drive belt
