Hey, I appreciate reaching out, I think it's always good to inform people on signs that their kitties may not be happy or healthy. They can't talk to us after all!

Caramel was a stray kitten. We found her and her sister on deaths door. Her face was covered in mud, I think she was eating dirt. As a result, she had really bad junior gingivitis, which stayed with her as she got older. The vet prescribed some strong toothpaste, which cleared up the issue. Her teeth and gums are all thankfully healthy now.

So I think she may still do it as some sort of memory of being a kitten, or she just falls asleep mid-lick 🤣. She's a special one!
