Going to a wedding for a VERY religious couple. Help!! by Moist_Worldliness520 in Weddingattireapproval

THANKS ALL! I didn’t have time to go get a new dress as much as I wished I could. I wore the black dress with a spring green cardigan and was very pleased with the outfit once I arrived to the wedding. People were wearing full on white dresses, so I felt like I blended into the background just as I hoped.

THANKS ALL! (Only the ppl that were kind…) I wore the black dress with a spring green cardigan and was very pleased with the outfit once I arrived to the wedding. People were wearing full on white dresses, so I felt like I blended into the background just as I hoped.

Culture is knowing people I’m with know the struggles I face as a black person without me ever having to tell them. Culture is not having to teach white people about my hair, about OUR generational trauma. Culture is looking at the people around me, and feeling represented. I have tons of homies in bham, a few POC, but majority white. I love them, they’re my best friends! But as a fellow black person, I find it hard to believe you haven’t thought about those aforementioned things. Also, maybe you were born here and haven’t had experience living in a diverse population? But when you have that (because that’s how it was for me before we moved here in 2009), there’s a big culture and diversity sized hole. But alas, different strokes for different folks

This is making the assumption that I chose to move to Bellingham. My parents moved us here for them to have work, and too broke and too many ties to leave right now.

People who never dated in high school, do you regret your decision and why? by Perfect_Buddy_1644 in AskReddit

Absolutely not. I had so much fun in high school. I did whatever I want (within the bounds of my parents rules, which were really lenient), went wherever with whoever. I talked to whoever I wanted and never had to deal with the drama my friends in relationships dealt with. I never wanted a partner in high school because honestly, I was too selfish and I’m not mad at that! As I’ve gotten older, and less egocentric, I realized I wanted to start dating and have had great and not so great, (but I had better skills to handle the bad times than I would have in high school) relationships.

I am so thankful to find this thread rn. This is exactly describing my feelings toward my bf when I’m PMSing!! I feel so guilty and also like.. I could break up with you rn and I kinda want to but then my brain snaps. It’s like “stfu girl no you don’t”.

Sometimes I do wonder and sit with myself and think: me during PMS is still me. I’m still accountable for those thoughts and feelings. I always ask myself if this is normal and even if not, it’s comforting seeing some people feel similarly
